Twice in the last week and a half while walking Mickey and Jazzy (neither heel while on a leash) someone from my local public safety dep't (one time a cop, another time a fireman) said "Who's walking who?" I have decided the next time I get this smart-ass question my reply will be, "Well, until they can put their leashes on and open the door, I guess I'M walking THEM."

This was anime in at least 5 panes, one of 2 titled Neighbours. 1st panes dealt with dreaming of food & finally nomming, then inflating to float above rooftops from nommage (natch).
If I could PS, which am not able to, I'd like to do a Columbus ship flying a Canadian flag. Maybe someone will today ...

ThePuceGuardian: Happy Bunday! Not so happy around here, though, as one of the rabbits has an ear infection. A bunny with an earache is a lot like a giraffe with a sore throat. In a word, grumpy. Even more so when I scoop her up and pour goop down her ear.

Well, it's not like she approved of me before this happened.

Just grabbed Some Othercat's wispy furrball away from Jimmy. Likely either from Auntie Furrnandina, Uncle Wakko or Uncle Yakko. Don't often need to do that.
Tori's been sucking on me lately while reading my Spitfire big book (not thick, just tall & fairly wide, with lotsa excellent fotos). She's done that since we took them all in, tho she gets much more chance to suck on Plumbicon.
Anyone have a suggestion for how to get cat to leave room she prefers to lurk in? Piiki's afraid of all who are bigger than she -- to wit Wakko, Yakko & Ginger. Have Feeling if we put her out of preferred room, she'd just hide & might make litterspot out of chosen HideyHole.

powerful katrinka, we've, or I've, opened door to room when she's eaten up her cat chow (so diabetic Ginger won't get more than he should have). She hides. But not when smaller males, Stripe or Jimmy from GangOf5, come in. Ginger's downstairs all overnights with door closed to keep him out of extra chow. Wakko & Yakko however have run of upstairs.
No pix, won't upload. Re-boot likely in order. Back inabit.

You should see when we take Butter, Dusty, and Caesar for a walk....BWAHAHAHA!!! Talk about the Three Stooges at a three ring circus. Mrs CDK takes Butter and I take the other two as they are hard pullers who like to randomly switch directions depending on where the "pee-mail" is to be read (my term for sniffing where other dogs have peed).

If I had the money, I would get a 2-dog Sulky like this link and with Dusty and Caesar hooked up would probably get several speeding tickets.

I can see it now...

"Uhhh, no Sir"
"Well, I clocked you doin' 45 in a 30"

OK, so I'm supposed to relate this story, and ask for some recommendations. On Wednesday of last week, two kittens appeared at my girlfriend's mom's house. After a few days of coaxing, they've decided come inside now (no pics yet), but they seem to be covered in oil or some other similar gunk (probably not spinach gunk, though...). Does anybody have any thoughts (or better yet, recommendations for a good groomer in the central Ohio area who could deal with that sort of grossness on a feral kitten)?

Pics forthcoming, I hope

It depends on how old and how cooperative they are, but I would first wrap each one in a towel and have someone assist you with trimming the little needle sharp nail tips with a nail clipper. You only have to trim a tiny bit from the ends to make it much more comfortable when you do give them a bath. I use the kitchen sink because it is deeper and put a hand towel in the bottom of the sink for them to stand on. For greasy spots I think I would use Dawn first to cut the grease and then use a baby shampoo to clean them up more gently. I use the sprayer on low, but I have also used a large cup with warm water to rinse them. Good luck! The feral kittens I caught at my office over the 2 1/2 year time frame stunk like the Marmots they were sharing the area under the deck with. I found out early on that it is important to trim the nails FIRST.

Evening everbuddy. I have been in a major funk the past few days, starting with family issues, continuing on to having to do certain chores that I hate, having to rewire all the AV in the apartment (thanks, Cablevision!), trying to pay bills with money I don't have, and all overlaid with frustration that I can't find a job, to say nothing of my constant worrying about Dragon. This all put me in a foul, absolutely evil mood, so I thought it best if I just stayed away from posting and lurked.

Speaking of the white boy, he seems to be holding his own, although he is starting to vomit a bit more often (a not unexpected side effect of the CRF), but his appetite is still awesome and he is taking his meds like a champ and still has not lost one iota of his in your face attitude....for example:

When I sat down to catch up on the thread tonight, he got up on my desk to keep me company (as he usually does) and at one point, just reached up and slapped me across the face (no claws). I think it was his way of saying...

Hope things start working out for you. it will, just keep plugging along.

And Dragon, keep trying to knock sense into him! Sooner or later it will take (and use a claw or two, for emphasis).

We use Dawn on our kittens. We had a group covered in gasoline and that's what we used on them to clean them up (if you watch channel 4 or 6 news, they were the petrol posse that was in the news back in June). Just make sure to use original Dawn.

Also kills fleas :)

A little Dawn, peroxide, and baking soda is also great on getting rid of skunk smell. Much better than tomato juice.

As akimbotoo said, try bathing them in Dawn - it will cut the grease, and (I think) kill fleas to boot. YMMV. Meanwhile, dawwww!
