captain feedback! Who belongs to those 2 last depictured by you at ft of pg 10, very last especially? Either gorgeous or stunningly handsome, depending on gender!
Been out running around getting rid of recycling, buying a very few groceries. Almost dinnertime for all here.
Gardening guy natters on local news; noticed when we went out that someone cut the banana tree trying to grow near head of lane. Suspect rotten grandkids of those who live there.

@ kevin... yesh, the adorable is strong with that one.
even though i'm a maine coon fan, i would also love to have a ragdoll.

I have one of those toys.. Disney 'Pluto" dog.. neighbors threw it out because their younger snowflake cut the cord with something.. easy fix, and the cats actually play with it.. it does get the occasional swat, though...

Happy Bunday! Not so happy around here, though, as one of the rabbits has an ear infection. A bunny with an earache is a lot like a giraffe with a sore throat. In a word, grumpy. Even more so when I scoop her up and pour goop down her ear.

Well, it's not like she approved of me before this happened.

ruatan: We have love to give and there are always kitties who will need our love... that's the cycle... but it doesn't mean we will forget the kitties that have touched our lives. I wish I could convince my brother he needs to let go of his "loss" pain and let another pet into his life but he's adamant no more pain will occur. And now a picture...

[i566.photobucket.com image 400x300]

My clowder numbers 4...I'd have more if I could, but
A). the social dynamic is delicate enough as is, and
B). 4 is all I really have room/attention/affordablity for.

They haven't always been the same four; sometimes it seems like they rotate in and out. It hurts like hell when I lose one, but even as I'm saying 'goodbye' I don't regret it. They've enriched my life too much. It's right there on the first page of the contract; I am probably going to outlive my monsters and each time I do, it will break my heart.
Won't stop me from having another cat fill their 'slot' in the clowder (not 'replacing') and signing the same contract with them.

gremlin1: John Buck 41: NHOcean: Thanks, laulauja....6 months +/- after my Kinsey, I DID NOT WANT another furry friend. Well, I did not want to fall in love again to most likely lose my friend in my lifetime. I tried and tried to find the owner of that emerald-eyed, fluffy little girl. No dice. Then, because it was cold in that cage in the ACO's garage, she had a field trip to my house. Game Over. SHE gave me the guilt trip when I was ready--hope that happens for your brother, ruatan.:) The *right* kind of guilt trip. (Right, Kevinboehm?! ;) )

Get a turtle. They live a looooooooooooonnnng time.

My niece's son has a turtle. When they got Michaelangelo he was about 6" around he is now 16" around.
Every time he gets a new tank he grows into it. I told my niece to just fence off part of the basement, get him a kiddie pool and heat lamp and let him go. After 5 years of new tanks I think she really starting to think about because it would be cheaper in the long run.

[i877.photobucket.com image 500x375]
not the family turtle

Long ago, my roommate caught a wild tortoise and brought it home to live in our apartment as a pet.
We named it 'Butch' (all our pets were called 'Butch back then). Didn't know very much about testudines back then, but remembered dimly they LOVE wet things to eat because they don't drink water. Fed him stuff like lettuce and watermelon rind...and that critter would follow me around the apartment.
Mom came to visit one time and I think it upset her to see my tortoise 'groupie'...she promptly asked around her friends and found another (probably more appropriate) home for it. Didn't miss the poops he left behind, but did kinda miss the 'company'...

My cat gets soooooo irritated when my husband and I are going on a trip. He likes to hide behind the suitcases we're packing and ambush our ankles. He also has an annoying tendency to "think outside the box" (our phrase for crapping outside his litter box) on the day of our departure!
