dofus: be on the lookout for symptoms, which include: severe and worsening headache, stiff neck, nausea and dizziness

The doctors are gonna love this one. Anyone with a hangover is now going to demand Expert Medical Attention right now, damn it.

You could also let it wait for a day or two. If you die, it was meningitis.

bentleypm: I went to high school with a guy who didn't have that form of meningitis.

My ex went to school with a girl who died from meningitis.

A separate vector got me as a first-order contact, so I had to take anti-meningitis meds. Turned every fluid in the body bright freaking orange. You ever pee out bright orange? Sweat orange? Scary as all fark.

Boo to Subby. Yes, it's rare, but there have been 38 cases, caused by a bad batch of medicine, so the Delaware health department had to keep an eye out for it. The bad medicine hadn't been shipped to Delaware, but it was in all of the neighboring states.

It's not big news, but the health department might as well send out a press release. People might well want to know, since there have been cases. The article contains a useful bit of info, to be on the lookout for symptoms.

If there's something to call the reporter out on it's the journalistic "Let's just take the press release, rewrite it a bit, and knock off early". Was there better news that could have filled those column-inches? Maybe, but it's not really a Fark-worthy offense against journalism. It's not important news, but it's news. Not everything has to be Watergate.
