Should've just taken the baby too. Obviously the mom is too pre-occupied to actually watch over her baby.

Heh, Farkers are so consistently such miserable coonts.

2012-10-04 04:21:11 PM

You know whose userbase is even more obnoxious and douchey than Fark or Consumerist? Any of the Gawker media sites.

/I know, it's hard to believe but it's true.

"Sick" tag? Really? I would have gone with the "obvious" tag. Criminals generally go for the easiest targets and it doesn't get much easier then that.

20 months and allowed to sit in a stroller watching today's equivalent of a TV.

We pretty much dumped the stroller once our kids started walking. We'd rather they had active childhoods.

Active childhoods sometimes involve travelling further from the house than a toddler can walk, e.g. local playgrounds, parks, beach, etc. Taking a stroller for part of it is still better than driving..

Really? At what ages and how many times did you take them as a group to the mall or similar places?
They can go active all they want at the house, but when they are little enough to be snatched, keep them close and corralled.
And the guy who stole the iPhone is lucky to be alive, hope they hang him.

Finally someone with a brain.

Granted these parents are idiots for not keeping an eye on the baby out in public, but you CANNOT get any shopping done with a 20 month old running free. And guess what....they tend to get tired.

Pretty much? Would your wife agree with you? Did you keep an eye on her weight to make sure she was also being active? Do you walk to work?

that's so sad. that man could have just as easily been a freak giving a drug laced sweet to the babby.

What's a baby doing with an iPhone in the first place? Talk about a douchebag parent trying to show off that they have so much money to burn that they can give expensive electronics to their crotch-goblins.

Yeah, it was clearly the toddler's iPhone, and not mommy's that the let the kid hold because it kept her relatively quiet for a few minutes while mom tried to get things done.

Do people not lock their phones?

2012-10-05 12:55:38 PM

I love how everyone assumed the kid was with the mother.
