scottydoesntknow: Anyone else find the Minecraft easter egg in the Caustic Caverns? The Giant Creeper is pretty good for purple loot. But the best loot farm is Dukino's Mom.

I got crap loot offa both. :/

Really chaps my ass, since that farkin' Skag takes so damn long to kill.

olapbill: Anyone got gunzerker feedback?

Gun Lust is an awesome skill tree if you're a shotgun/launcher fan. You deal a ton of bonus damage, can Gunzerk while bleeding out and every so often you get the epic Money Shot/No Kill Like Overkill combination. A buddy has been running that and simply destroys.

I'm currently running a hybrid version of the Shotgun Ninja build with Zero. Death Blossom+AmbushBackstabxExocute+Be like Water(Jakobs Shotgun)=you don't get back up.

the_sidewinder: Expolaris: WAY easier than the Warrior...and i found this little nugget...

I always had issues with the Goliaths dieing all the time, or running out of enemies for them to kill

But that launcher, HAH, nice!

With 4 people we would make sure to kill anything badass around him, let our current play thing clear a zone, and then chain him out to the next fight. It only takes KILLS - it does not matter what he kills. That's why we like Tiny Tina's area because there is an abundant supply of things that he can kill in 1-2 hits...and Chubbies which also drop nice loot.

Another adoring fan of all you peeps at Gearbox. Thanks for doing what you do, and caring so much about those of us on the other side. Love the contributions of the Burch siblings (the GB episodes of HAWP were fantastic), and I gotta say that the "Claptrap's Birthday" bit actually got to me (you sold the hell out of that one!).

Really got a lot of love for everybody there. So, as they say around here:

Holy crap. Check his profile. He's not kidding.

I'm not usually one to hero worship, but you're kind of amazing. Big fan of your work, and really EVERYTHING you guys do. And you work with some really awesome people at G'box. I kept running into Randy at the last two E3's, and he was just a straight-up great guy every time. Really tolerant of my fanboy gushery. And whoever the gal is who was working your booth slid me a t-shirt when I told her that this disabled kid I know LOVES Borderlands ardently, and it's the only piece of swag he asked me to get.

Seriously, though...If I PayPal you fifty bucks, will you record my voicemail greeting?

If you like sniping in other games, you'll love Zero. He's all about either extremely close damage or extremely far away damage. I roll with a shotgun and sniper rifle and can handle pretty much any situation (right now at least). He's all about critical hits too. You can get a perk that stacks crit damage up to 999 times.

Plus he speaks almost entirely in Haiku.

Holy crap I can actually ask this, if you return.

The way Claptrap (or, uh, you) says "I'm dancin, I'm dancin!" in borderlands 1, is that a deliberate reference to this Hitachi video announcing perpendicular recording?

I still use a sniper rifle as my primary gun but switch to shotgun when swarms start coming. Death Marking multiple enemies when playing co-op can make a huge difference and Blossom has the added bonus of dealing elemental damage.

that's too bad this game is getting so much buzz...

Since I've been seeing so much positive feedback on this game, how decent is single player? I keep hearing about the multiplayer being so awesome but I hate doing multiplayer stuff. I played BL1 on single player and it was ok, but the gameplay itself seemed fairly repetitive in some areas. Mostly I liked the conversations with some of the NPC's and the comments they'd make here and there. I may actually have the $60 to blow this next paycheck and I can't make up my mind between BL2 and Darksiders 2 plus the DLC.

Better enemies, more guns, much better story.

It's basically Borderlands at it's core, but a zillion tiny improvements have made it a VASTLY superior game in my opinion.
