The tides come and go as Cthulu snores while asleep in his nightmare corpse-city of R'lyeh.

I'm not being unreasonable here.

My prediction: O'reilly will try to outfunny Stewart. Will fail miserably. I like Bill but Stewart will win a contest of humor.

That's the thing people like O'Reilly don't get. They look at Stewart and see what he does as effortless. Like comedy is so easy that anyone can do it. But Stewart has put in almost thirty years worth of work into honing is technique. Comedy is a skill. A hard skill.

If hunny boo boo debates with shep smith is that going to be in the politics thread too?

The FarkdomLibs will do anything to take their mind off the sense of doom and gloom Obama gave them last night.

Is there a moderator? Cause if it's anything like his show, O'Reilly will just talk over him the whole time. I've always found it funny that he has the balls to call what he does on his shows an "interview." Letting someone say two unobstructed sentences and then talking over them for the next five minutes is not an interview.

What saddens me is jon will try to make it a real and meaningful thing, while Bill will spin and slander because he knows all that he stands for is sh*t.

I don't get it...has he denied having writers or something? Why do you seem to think this is some kind of mindblowing revelation??

I think it's more of a critique of the "debate" itself. It's possible that it could merely be a pre-written performance for both sides. That's what some people are expecting.

I don't really think that's the case, though. It's clear from Stewart and O'Reilly's appearances on the other's shows that they both enjoy, and are capable of, off-the-cuff discussions. I think it actually will be a pretty decent debate.

Do these people remember when Jon Stewart was almost literally responsible for Cross-Fire getting pulled from the air? It's not like dude can't engage. And yeah, their discussions on each other's shows, while rarely productive, are always entertaining.

So what you're basically saying is that O'Reilly doesn't have the credentials as a political commentator that John Stewart has as a comedian.

I'll buy that.

I know you guys don't watch The Factor, but Bill and everyone that appears on his show, including Fox reporters, all think he's going to get destroyed by Stewart. He's going in very lighthearted since it's for charity and actually likes Stewart.
