Aw man, I still listen to some of the songs from that Lost Boys soundtrack. Also, I've always liked the Fastway soundtrack for the 1986 movie Trick or Treat.

Mad respect to the article for including Fright Night. If you can get your hands on it, Fright Night and Fright Night II is some good 80s listening.

Loved that soundtrack as a youngster. I noticed that one guy's name showed up as a credit on almost all the tracks: Guy Mann-Dude. WTF kind of name is that? They're all synonyms!

The two most obvious omissions to me. I don't necessarily agree with other people's nominations. Although I did notice that Argento was mentioned without name-checking Goblin.

On Halloween last year, I walked into a bar, and there was a guy dressed as this with a real saxophone. I paid him $5 to get up on the table and play "Careless Whisper". It was f*cking awesome.

I was working in a factory at 2 am Halloween morning when that song came over the xm radio. Creeped me out since I was the only one working on that side of the building.

Looks like the author just picked "10 movies you could find in any Blockbuster horror section in 1990"

List totally fails without the soundtrack to The Woman.

For omitting Suspiria, The Exorcist, and all of Bernard Herrmann, the writer should be forced to listen to this for a whole day.

THIS!

Goblin's catalog is almost uniformly awesome! Also, though they aren't movie soundtracks, all the Silent Hill scores by Akira Yamaoka are incredibly good.

In addition: Riz Ortolani's score for Cannibal Holocaust, Fabio Frizzi's scores for L'Aldilà and Paura nella città dei morti viventi and Zombi 2, Basil Kirchin's score for The Abominable Dr. Phibes, Krzysztof (Christopher) Komeda's score for Rosemary's Baby, John Williams' score for Jaws and all of Pino Donnagio's work for De Palma (but particularly Carrie.) rank amongst my very most favorite pieces of musical accompaniment.for macabre film.
