Great Porn Dragon: Bah...it's just the usual disruption of satellite service that happens every fall around this time and every spring because the sun's path in the sky just happens to match that of geosynchronous satellites.

(And here I was hoping for a geomagnetic storm because sunspots decided to spew Solar Puke in our general direction. DAMNIT. At least THAT would be INTERESTING, because you can get some interesting low VHF skip and auroral bounce on VHF proper if you're lucky enough to be in an area that actually gets auroras. :D)
