Di Atribe: The Bestest: Di Atribe: Oh so this game actually happened and I didn't drink it away? Super. I'm going to rage-quit sports.

Hey now, the Rangers could -totally- redeem themselves tomorrow.

They could. Wait here while I hold my breath and build up hope and let them BREAK MY HEART AGAIN.

*headdesk*

The way the Rangers have been playing it wouldn't surprise me if tomorrows score was Orioles 8 Rangers -2.

Buck up there, Di.

It's true, the Rangers definitely picked the worst possible time to play their worst baseball of the year, but they get to play at home & are 5-2 against the O's this season. So, read into that what you wish. Texas either has their number, or the O's are due.

/just win this game tomorrow night
//deal with the Yankees if/when you get there

I would love nothing more than to play a full series with the stupid Yankees.

I'm actively pulling for the Rangers tomorrow. Quite frankly, I'm just tired of the O's. I'm tired of their faces.

Fellow Rangers fans...

are we all in agreement that Hamilton is done here?

Depends. How much has he driven his price down since his 4-tater game in that toy ballpark?

Odds are, he's gone. However, there's a lot of piddly shiat that has kept him out of games this and may other seasons. So there's a reliability issue if you're a GM planning on backing up a truck full of money...that he plans on giving away...NNTAWWT. And I haven't even touched on the demons between that boy's ears. So there's that.

I think it kinda depends on how much he's driven his price down, basically. But they're still playing & who knows, he could end up being a huge hero in this post-season. That chapter is yet to be written.

If he's gone, you gotta replace that bat.

Do not count out the A's. They have the magic stick.

As good as he is, he (1) carries a lot of baggage that seems to crop up at most inconvenient times, and (2) goes into slumps--serious slumps--at most inconvenient times.

I think he's done here. Let the Yankees offer him 7/$175mm.

That's the issue with Hamilton... all due respect to him for overcoming what he has, but the majority of his focus unfortunately has to be aimed squarely at making sure his issues don't overtake his life. When it comes to baseball, e can't make adjustments or experiment - he has to keep the same routine over and over on a daily basis, in order to have a strong foundation. When it's working, look out. When it's not, he basically just goes up there flailing away.

The guy has unquestionably contributed to the success of this team over the last 3 seasons, and I would have loved for his home run in Game 6 to be the eventual game winner... seriously, what a great moment for him as a person and a player that would have been.

I think with what it would take to keep Hamilton, you could get several pieces in here that would contribute to the success of the team, in different but also important ways.

tnpir: TheOther: Please let the Ryder Cup Rangers lose Friday and put me out of my misery.

Relax. They will.

And I guarantee this is how they'll do it: Darvish will pitch seven innings, strike out 10 and walk just one. And the Rangers will give him exactly one run of support, with Josh Hamilton going 0-4 with three Ks and Kinsler hitting into two inning-ending double plays. And the Orioles win 3-1.

Goddammittsomuch, Rangers.....
