B-b-b-b-b-but... CHEATERS!!!!!

/WTF does that mean, anyway? All these stupid Romney ads with him spouting off about the Cheaters in China when Romney and his ilk are responsible for sending so many jobs to China in the first place...

Sorry Repubs - you want '50s values, you gotta take the '50s tax rates too.

Bible Literalists? Why would they support Romney? L. Ron Hubbard fans would be more appropriate.

2012-10-03 05:55:11 PM
Hmm. These campaign buttons are all partisan. Don't you have any neutral ones? "May the better man win?" "Let's have a good, clean election?" That sort of thing?

Uh, no, but we do have some old shirt buttons. They're kinda kooky and fun!

Missy, you just talked yourself right out of a sale.

Nothing will beat the first edition Obama misprint that actually had "Fartbongo" as his name.

keep telling yerself that, 10 lbs of cheese.

What you don't get is that women are human beings too. We have the right to vote, we pay attention to current affairs, and we're going to vote in our best interests, which are generally aligned with the Democratic party.

Your statement proves that you don't "get it", as I suspect it is the case for many things.

It's OK though.

Thinking is hard.

You serve your purpose.

Unfortunately, too many people still think the 50's are some idyllic Golden Age.

If you actually know somebody who lived through it and can talk about it honestly, you know that not everybody, not even the white Christians, were living in Happy Paradise Land. My white-as-the-driven-snow parents endured awful childhoods riven with poverty, alcoholic/insane caregivers, abusive Catholic schools, perils of urban life (rats, perverts, collapsing ceilings in the tenements). My dad's best friend and his sibs got the "Mommy Dearest" treatment from their mother, a former cigarette girl.

Yes these were clearly the best years ever of the United States and we should all go back to the time when 30-something Archie Bunkers ruled their families with iron grips and boozy breaths.

2012-10-03 07:41:55 PM
Now see, that Birther pin isn't fair to most Republicans. They don't think that Fartbongo was born in Kenya, just that he should "go back to Africa because he's too damn uppity."

Damn libs, always telling half-truths!

2012-10-03 07:42:57 PM
Values from the 50s would support worker rights, build infrastructure, fund education, regulate financial institutions, and take care of veterans.

Romney is more into values of the 1890s.

Amen. There were some parents in our neighborhood who were beating their kids on a regular basis, very brutally, but everyone turned a blind eye to it. The kids would come to school with bruises, and the teachers knew and the cops knew. There were some occasions where it got so bad that the cops did visit their home, but the father was very adament that it was his right to discipline his family as he pleased, and so he threatened anyone who attempted to interfere, including the cops. Rather than raise a ruckus, everyone just allowed the abuse to continue, mostly due to the fact that he was a wealthy pillar of the community and the church.  This was not an anomaly.

Do you really think he gets paid to say this....stuff?

I mean, really...?

If that's paid work, my lord this country really has lost all pride in its products. I know, after Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and Drudge, there's a pretty low standard for...well, literacy. But still, a lot of unemployed Lit majors could...train their monkeys to troll here.

It's weird how much the cultural attitude has changed to these kinds of things.

Now, it takes a village CPS to raise a child.

Huh, progressive attitudes did win. Thus explaining the reactionaries.
