The music is awesome, the questing was darn fun, the dailies dont seem as bad as previous expansions... guild starts raiding this saturday, can't wait!

I do not lift Cheetos stained fingers nor allocate Mountain Dew fueled time for something so inherently lacking gravitas and ballast as pandas. These are reserved for truly serious and worthy things, like fighting digital orcs.

I think im done with MMORPG raids after every single time I attempted one in Star Trek Online it was being led by some uber nerd who demanded everything be run precisely his way or you'd be banned from speaking to him for life after he set you to ignore. Boo farking hoo.

City of Heroes had a friendly community, and its raids were kind of fun. But that's gone now. Or will be next month.

I've liked pretty much every single thing about the expansion I've seen so far. *shrug*

Yeah I know that. They've also been away from Blizzard for 10 years (I think). So in the last 10 years they made a better Blizzard game then Blizzard could (twice actually since Torchlight 1 was better than D3 too).

I stand by the point, which was basically Blizzard should have backed a dump truck full of cash up to those guys and got them to make Diablo 3.

Sounds more to me like they're using single-player style content to sugar coat a deficient, outdated MMO.

Civ V is great and the expansion is awesome. Yeah the AI is still.. horrible, but I can't ever go back to squares and stacks. I just can't.

People actually LIKE raiding still? Raiding is all the fun of working with strangers with ADD + grinding + repetition + politics all wrapped in schedule you have to keep.

Blizzard lost me after Cata. I actually lost interest when the pre-release 4.0.1 patch came out but I came back and bought the expansion a few months after it dropped to give it a chance. Tried it for a few weeks but I just couldn't get into it. MoP showed nothing really new and now that I'm playing Guild Wars 2 I can't imagine I'll ever pick up WoW again.

Dynamic events, area questing, spontaneous group play, the superior storage system (not having your packs fill up with harvested materials is great, although I still think having it shared between characters is utterly retarded), the superior auction house and the massive World versus World fights... why ever go back to a game still pushing the old MMO paradigm from 2005?

I only miss two things from WoW: lore and battlegrounds. You just don't meet as interesting of characters in GW2 and the structure PvP is nowhere near as fun as battlegrounds.

Aside from that? WoW is old and busted. It's a grampa game now.

Civ V is great and the expansion is awesome. Yeah the AI is still.. horrible, but I can't ever go back to squares and stacks. I just can't.

But squares and stacks are superior in every sense!

If I was forced to play just one game for the rest of my life, this is all I would need.

I almost didn't buy this expac. But it's been fun exploring the new areas and storylines. I don't think it misses the mark - it just doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a game, lighten up.

Err, the article makes some comments about Kung Fu Panda making things feel silly, brings up that there are newer games like Guild Wars 2, but also mentions that the lighter tone is probably good after two "Ultimate Evil" expansions, and that dungeon bosses are much improved and feel fun. I don't see how that boils down to "Hurrrr. Mists sucks"

I've never drank the WoW koolaid, but I thought the Panderan hero in Warcraft 3 was pretty cool. Maybe if WoW had Panderans and DAOC-style PvP (I was really into DAOC at the time) from the beginning I would've started playing it.

I'm playing GW2 at the moment, and it is really terrific.

Also, don't hate on Civ 5. Since the G&K expansion, it's probably become the second best Civ in the series (after Civ IV with BTS).

GW2 is a great game. Too bad most folks I know, that play games, are so invested in WoW that they can't seem to even think about quitting.

The entire Pandaren race used to be an April Fools joke. Seriously, it got started as an April Fools joke about adding a 5th playable race to Warcraft 3. They put in a Pandaren mercenary hero in The Frozen Throne as a tribute to that joke.

And then they institutionalized the entire race into Warcraft lore when they released Mists of Pandaria.

Blizzard, it was supposed to be a joke.
