Trust me, DVR is a wonderful thing for married folks who have different tastes in TV shows. My hubby likes "Brickleberry" (and I can't stand that damn show) and I like "Once" (and he hates that one). That being said, "Breaking Bad" and "Small Town Security" has really brought us together, LOL

Breaking Bad is nowhere near as good as the hype and fanboys would have you believe.

That's because the 1st season is nowhere NEAR as good as the 3rd and 4th! IMHO, the show has "gotten better with age"

compared to the turds that most of the networks are crapping out, Breaking Bad is fantastic tv. Compared to good literature, sure it comes up lacking. But it is stellar tv, and if you are going to watch tv shows you can do much much worse than Breaking Bad.

TV is pretty good these days, especially compared to the shiat we used to watch in the 80's-90's. Shows like Breaking Bad actually look like they cost something to make and have decent actors that sell their roles.

Even if you don't care for the subject matter, saying Breaking Bad "isn't as good as the hype" is just stupid. The entire "Gus" arc was just brilliant tv.

David Tennant fans are just people who have never seen a Patrick Troughton serial and don't know what a good Doctor is supposed to be.

The thing about 11 is that he's the fun quirky Doctor that I would have loved to have seen more from #10. #9 didn't need to be odd or quirky because he was fresh from a long drawn out Time War and him being bitter or angry made perfect sense.

I hear this defense all the time with comics.

"B-b-b-b-but... you only read the first issue! How can you tell if something is any good just by reading the first issue? You have to read the entire story arc to be able to judge it!"

I sunk roughly 10 hours into the show. It was okay. But it wasn't impressive enough to bother coming back for season 2.
