Good morning, good afternoon, good night.

I may be mistaken but if you don't take into account minimum at bats, he now holds the MLB career record OBP

Good for you Adam.

I would have figured a batter with vertigo would have a better shot at hitting a knuckleball.

Topps printed a baseball card for him though. That's kind of cool.

There were, as of yesterday, five players in MLB history who were Hit By Pitch in their only plate appearance. He took himself off that list, making it four.

Poor guy had to go against Dickey? Couldn't they just wait til tomorrow?

That was a nice story, and good on the Marlins. But I gotta wonder what goes through a dude's head, who has spent the last seven years recovering from a brutal bean-ball, when he stands in against a guy that throws the knuckleball.

Yeah, but the stat line sucks.

Not just a knuckleball, an 80+ MPH knuckleball that the guy on the mound actually has some idea of where it's going.

There's a reason he won 20 games on one of the worst offensive teams in the majors.

Yeah yeah. I love Dickey (just as I loved Wakefield) but it's a knuckleball, dude. The entire point of the pitch is that no one knows quite where it's going to go.

Boy, that escalated quickly.

Probably not a knuckler, even worst case. That's gotta be a positive, I'd think.

He already had Graham's stat line before yesterday. One plate appearance, zero official at-bats.

Not even close.  There are a ton of people tied for a 1.000 OBP, but I'd like to point out John Paciorek in particular, who in one game went 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks.

And then never played again.

Said Dickey: "I wanted him to have his moment and give him as much time as I could before I got on the rubber. I hope that what happened, the result of the at-bat, I think the story far transcends the result of the at-bat. That was important for him and me to treat him like a big-leaguer."

Class act right there. Yeah it's not "Hollywood" that he didn't get his hit, but still. To give him that respect probably will mean more to Adam on his deathbed than the stats ever could.

Graham never got a plate appearance, though.

It's Florida. The sports scene is kind of slow there.

Oh, just people making a nice gesture just to be nice. It happens now and again.

Yeah, I was thinking about his sac fly in the movie. In his real-life mlb game, he didn't. Sometimes reality gets in the way of my life.

He was still ahead of these guys.

"Harry Saferight... was the on-deck batter on three different occasions but all three times the Pirates batter made the third out of the inning to deny him a time at bat."

He's already on the Mets. Hasn't he suffered enough?

His .000 batting average has gone from undefined to legitimate.

Dear Jerk: His .000 batting average has gone from undefined to legitimate.

That's the sad part. His major league career, brief as it was, was perfect until last night.
