If anyone sees DiAtribe, please mention Satchel Paige and Rule #6. She'll know.

10 minutes to game time. This is going to be exciting.

2012-10-03 03:23:57 PM
Just noticed this:

Five of the 10 MLB playoff teams started this season with payrolls less than half of what the Angels' was.

/Let alone what Boston's or Philadelphia's was.

tnpir: I can't bear to watch. The Rangers are about to finish off an epic choke and it's going to royally piss me off.

Oh, and subby, the game starts in two hours, not tonight.

god damn, I feel the same thing. Can't believe I ever came back to baseball after the world series. promised myself I wouldn't but what was I gonna do, stop drinking? amirite - I don't know what I'm talking about just nervous, trying to find a stream or play by play online.

C'mon Dempster.

2012-10-03 03:50:07 PM
What's that? Runners in scoring position? Time for a popup, motherf*ckers!

2012-10-03 03:56:40 PM
My eyes can't help but be drawn to the Dandy House ad behind the plate. I noticed they bought an ad in Toronto too.

2012-10-03 03:57:22 PM
Runners aboard. Let's do this Moss.

2012-10-03 03:57:57 PM
YOENIS CESPEDES!!

I love this guy!!

2012-10-03 03:58:50 PM
Rangers are a tired ball club. A's are a streaking bunch of fools who don't know any better. And the whole enchilada depends upon a Cubs pitcher delivering for the Rangers.

uh oh

2012-10-03 03:59:59 PM
Texas is in an early hole on the road.

2012-10-03 04:00:31 PM
btw, fun fact: before last night, the last time the A's led the division this year was game two, when they were 1-1 and tied with the Mariners in Japan

2012-10-03 04:00:58 PM
Dempster has such a bag of nothing.

2012-10-03 04:04:55 PM
ordinarily i wouldn't think much of a one run deficit but this year seems like runs are hard to come by for the good guys (rangers). And no, I don't care what season averages say.

2012-10-03 04:05:21 PM
Ugh. Need to pick up those runners in scoring position. We're going to need lots of insurance against the Texas offense.

grinding_journalist: Sad to see Al go, but I cant say we aren't better off without him.

Michael Young is playing? I don't care if Beltre is hurt, it's time to send Ron back for another drug test.

Treygreen13: The Bestest: bhcompy: It will hopefully mean the end of Scioscia. Good manager, but time to move on and get a fresh perspective.

Who would you rather have?

If you have an 8-ball, you can probably get Ron Washington.

oh man......ZING!

good one. I like Washington. I'd like to see him win it all at least once.

2012-10-03 04:20:02 PM
at the trade deadline, rangers went dempster diving.

/not looking pretty without colby and feliz

2012-10-03 04:20:15 PM
I need like, 100 beers. Now calculating what time I can leave work without raising any eyebrows.

2012-10-03 04:23:14 PM
Griffin's not terribly sharp today. Making me nervous, here.

2012-10-03 04:27:14 PM
Holy fungoes, a hit with RISP. It's still real to Beltre.

2012-10-03 04:27:29 PM

Cagey B: Griffin's not terribly sharp today. Making me nervous, here.

Your nervosity is helping me be less nervous.

/i need more tums

2012-10-03 04:30:13 PM
....and Texas has taken the lead.

Don't worry, Dempster will be back out to pitch soon enough, and you can return to normal nervosity levels.

2012-10-03 04:30:51 PM
Holy mother*cking batsh*t crazy fungoes, Michael "6-4-3" Young got a hit with RISP.

scandalrag: Michael Young is playing? I don't care if Beltre is hurt, it's time to send Ron back for another drug test.

I'm pretty sure only two people in the organization still think Michael Young should be seeing everyday playing time: Michael Young and Ron Washington.

2012-10-03 04:32:18 PM
DAMN IT

2012-10-03 04:32:25 PM
hanging a crooked number! go rangers!

2012-10-03 04:32:32 PM
Rangers up 4-1.

Still early, but Texas has too much offense to lose this game.

2012-10-03 04:33:53 PM

Cagey B: Don't worry, Dempster will be back out to pitch soon enough, and you can return to normal nervosity levels.

LOL damn you

5-1!!!!

2012-10-03 04:34:30 PM
Nice inning going.....

2012-10-03 04:34:31 PM
well, this inning isn't going well for the A's

2012-10-03 04:34:34 PM
I think the Rangers just said "fark this, enough is enough."

Yea, cuz that double Young just snaked down the line in a 5 run 3rd is just stupid.

2012-10-03 04:37:18 PM
I am not happy! That is why I am frowning! See this? Frown! This inning is like getting out of bed and stepping in cat pee before you even get to the bathroom to relieve yourself. And it's cold pee, not the good warm kind.

Harv72b: I think the Rangers just said "fark this, enough is enough."

Why couldn't they have done this yesterday!???

2012-10-03 04:38:41 PM

Harv72b: /Looking at you, Boston.

I believe the Red Sox payroll is now less than the Angels, too. They shed Youkilis, Gonzo, Beckett, and Crawford and took on a few magic beans and used baseballs.

2012-10-03 04:39:48 PM
That Inning hurt.

2012-10-03 04:39:57 PM
Well thank god that inning is over. Yeesh.

2012-10-03 04:43:05 PM
Auuughh, seriously? Can't even make him throw some pitches?

2012-10-03 04:43:12 PM

Di Atribe: Why couldn't they have done this yesterday!???

Well where's the drama in that? That would be like if Pirates striking out the guy batting ahead of Roy Hobbs or something.

And it brought his OPS up to a backup catcher level .685.

Hamilton could've tried to reach on K there

Well, the problem with that is they lose home field to the Yankees if the Yanks win today.

BTW, who would get home field between the Yanks, O's and Rangers if all three finish 94-68? Well Texas and the winning of 163 between the Yanks and O's.

2012-10-03 04:50:15 PM
Nellie missed a tater by half a foot...*grumble*
