I blame Obama. If he would just let them borrow his weather machine once in a while, everything would be fine.

Partly cloudy with a chance of rain.

Say this 3 times and "poof" you're a weatherman.

In OC Maryland the phrase "partly cloudy" is forbidden, the correct phrase is "partly sunny".

Today's weather will be hot and dry, with north-southerly winds moving in an east-westerly direction.

The weather is a hoax. Weathermen are just in it for the money and cheap weather girl floozies.

They should all be sued, as Billy Connery might put it, ballocks naked.

Mother Nature is a single mother, too, but nobody in on the conspiracy will tell you that. When God divorced God the Mother, She got the house and He got the invisible means of support.

Naturally, the God the Son is moping around acting like he's been crucified or something.

That's the way it went down, with all the Divorce Lawyers sent straight to Hell. After all, nobody believes that God is a Confirmed Batchelor and Single Father. That's just Looney.

I'd write this all down but I mislaid my green pens.

Cuz predicting the weather is kinda, like, science, and science is bad and anti-God, and hates Jesus and uses facts and informaion I don't understand?

Oh,the problem is business related? Hmm, I like my version better.

Tonight's forecast: Dark. Continued dark throughout most of the evening, with some widely scattered light towards morning.

Sure why not... I mean he should probably sue the programmers who wrote the forecasting software as well. Might as well go after the scientists that collected the data that went in to those models as well.... I guess the professors that taught them math and science should also be at least somewhat responsible.... maybe their parents...

Please. This country has at least one state attempting to legislate how to measure sea level, just so their seaside real estate doesn't drop in value, and more than one state that's attempted to force mathematicians to round π to 3 because irrational numbers don't work in their God's universe.

Of course its citizens believe it's OK to shoot the messenger.

Seriously. I mean, if the thing can whip up tornadoes and hurricanes just to provide photo ops, imagine what it could do in the hands of a benevolent force like G.I. Joe.

I stand somewhat corrected - only one state attempted to do so, as confirmed by the very article you posted:

Though the claim about the Alabama state legislature is pure nonsense, it is similar to an event that happened more than a century ago. In 1897 the Indiana House of Representatives unanimously passed a measure redefining the area of a circle and the value of pi. (House Bill no. 246, introduced by Rep. Taylor I. Record.) The bill died in the state Senate.

Eh, I figure it doesn't count if it happened that long ago. But anyway, that story is kind of interesting, actually, and was based on a supposed (but obviously wrong) mathematical basis and not just backwards thinking trying to redefine nature.
