(Daily Mail)   Crowd of dogs and their owners "Doggupy" a New York street to protest for better pet food. Reportedly, the dogs left less filth and waste in the streets than the Occupy Wall Street crowds, and knew better than to lick themselves on camera   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 6

Why wouldn't the owners just buy better pet food for their dogs?

Rather than protesting pet food, why not protest puppy mills?

I adopt strays, I do not buy dogs or cats. Why I should pay hundreds of dollars for a purebred that is more likely to have health problems than a stray or shelter animal is beyond me.

brimed03: Oh, you mean the hobos criminals that city PD departments were proven to have encouraged to join the campsites? Or do you mean the undercover cops who went to the camps and did their best to incite criminal behavior?

As a matter of fact, I was exposed to them. Unlike you, I visited Occupy camps in three major cities and day protests in several towns, because I wanted to evaluate it for myself. In every instance I found orderly, well-run, CLEAN parks with organized tents for food, sanitation, and medical aid. Oh, and a huge police presence, which was universally treated well, if cautiously (understandibly), by the protesters.

But no, you go ahead and believe what you were told to believe. I'm sure the 1% will be along with your reward any time now.

You sound like a shill.

Done in one.

If it was meant to be a parody, then they needed a more creative "cause."

If you are buying 50lb bags of "Kibbles N Bits" or "Old Yeller" from the grocery store, quit buying the cheap shiat and shut your yaphole. You are part of the problem.

//they eat better than I do

This bad and these people should feel bad. When I had a dog I drove 50 miles out of my way to get healthy grain-free kibble for him. There are plenty of options available, no one is forcing you to feed the dog cheap shiat.

The event wasn't entirely serious, however, as the attendees signed a 'pawtition' and were given free samples of healthy dog food that is produced by organizing partners.

fark you, viral advertising. I'm going to specifically not buy your product now.
