Xcott: This headline became a lot less gross when I realized that "run" was not a intended as a verb.
BLEMDAR: I guess he could have run around the island once, realized it was a bad idea to escape, since hes surounded by water, and just decided to go back to prison cause he was tired.
Mid_mo_mad_man: In the early 1960's Missouri had small prison work camps. They would hire out prison labor. My father's neighbor had a rural country store. Sold gas, beer, sandwiches , etc. The prisoners at the local camp where often aloud to go in the store on way back from working and buy beer chips and junk food.
Misconduc: I went to pago pago once, never realized they had a jail. I do know you cannot give them alcohol because there is no such thing as tolerance.
themindiswatching: Misconduc: I went to pago pago once, never realized they had a jail. I do know you cannot give them alcohol because there is no such thing as tolerance. Is alcoholism rampant there like it is on the Indian reservations on the mainland?
ktybear: aiding the escape of a prisoner, permitting escape and public servant acceding to corruption.Since they didn't technically 'escape' prison - they did go back into the prison and their cells presumably - then surely a good lawyer will get them off those charges and they'll be left with 'acceding to corruption'...wonder what they would get as punishment? a prison sentence lol
nucular bum: Not sure, but I know that Mormonism is rampant there as it is on many Pacific islands.
