John Wall's face says nothing except, "When's my contract up?"

"For the Heat, the buzz was the addition of Ray Allen, whose departure from Boston is viewed as treason by many Celtics fans and players"

Yeah...the retarded ones. HOW DARE YOU LEAVE THIS TEAM YOU CAME TO FOUR YEARS AGO AND WHICH REPLACED YOU WITH TWO PLAYERS EVEN WHILE SUPPOSEDLY TRYING TO SIGN YOU!

Lost Thought 00: I thought they were locked out

No, the NBA is the league that's playing. The money-grubbing thugs over in the NHL are the ones that don't want to work.

Don't need a fifth?

Hey subby, without Shane Battier the Heat lose in the finals.

Sure you could count on Ray Allen producing in big games 6 years ago... but today? I think the Heat got lucky as all hell to have their scrubs drop all those shots in the finals. It was the difference... but not exactly something you would be the farm on.

Yes, Shane Battier and Mike Miller are "scrubs."

Its a lockout, not a strike. They players want to play. Owners want to break their balls.

3 pt %, seems relevant

Also Miller is a solid rebounder for his size (when he's not hurt) and Battier has long been a very good defender.

So what you're saying is Miller has never been a solid rebounder, correct?

They're role players.

I'm well aware of that. Just saying it since fans of other sports felt the need to make similar comments when NBA players were locked out last year.

Celtics upgraded tremendously from Allen to Terry. Doubt it'll be enough to offset Garnett and Pierce getting another year older, though.

and I was under the impression Ray Allen wasn't going to be starting. Did something change or does the article writer just not have any idea what he's taking about?

I asked LeBron for a 5th starter but he only had 4.

It's the Heat. Who starts on a given day is pretty random/match-up based.

/Other than LeBron/Wade/Bosh, of course.

Miller is #21 on the career 3-pt % list, #58 on career true shooting %
Battier is #82 on the career 3-pt % list, #98 on career block %
