James!: fickenchucker: Laugh it up, non-Arizona residents.

We have friends and relatives in Tucson who are scared shiatless about the encroaching crime. Nogales is under siege financially because of the lost tourism resulting from the insanely-increased crime rates.

America deserves better from all the politicians and a DMZ at our southern border.

How come Arizona is a war zone but California, Texas and New Mexico aren't?

They are, moran. But as displayed in numerous post here, people who don't know their geography like concentrating on Sheriff Joe and Arizona for their reference points. I brought up my friends and relatives in Arizona in a thread about an Arizona shooting.

/Logic--how does it work?

BSABSVR: mr lawson: BSABSVR: How will Romney make it safer to be a border patrol agent, exactly?

who said anything about Romney besides you?

GARY JOHNSON 2012

LIVE FREE!

Gary Johnson will not win. Either Mitt Romney or Barack Obama will be in charge of the border patrol.

Apparently living free means living free from math.

I'll be voting for Gary Johnson. He may not win, but I'm not going to waste my vote on either of the headliners.

zedster: James!: This is a serious question for me, what if Arizona doing wrong that those other states are doing right?

More people on the border in Texas and California and more people on both sides that rely on business along the border, so they have incentive to prevent the trafficking. Arizona is much more open, less populated, and easier to make the drug transfers. Drug cartels mean violence and attacks like these.

Seriously, you are not one of them. Careful, well send some Texans to Arizona and kick your ass like we did at San Jacinto. And I say this as a Texan of Mexican descent.

There is no U.S. National Guard. Each State has a National Guard that can be called to duty by the Government. The organization you're thinking of is called the "U.S. Army"

And we are arming the enemy, as we so often do. And we are supporting allies even more corrupt than the enemy, as we so often do.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't those Fast and Furious guns sold with the intention of tracking the supply chain?

Are people going to continue to pretend that the same number of guns weren't going to get into the hands of these cartels anyway?

"Hey, Obama, do something about this drug war violence, but don't you dare relax restrictions on drugs, and don't you dare try to do anything about the gun supply chain!"

Farking morons.

I can always count of liberal farktards, especially those here on Fark, to respond to a tragic event by mocking people (in this case, Romney/Republicans), who have nothing to do with it. In their make-believe land, nothing is important except making fun of those who disagree with them, because that's all they can do. They are too stupid to actually debate opposing point of views, and that scares them and makes them feel insecure, so they lash out. And this is proven again, and again, and again, in just about every fark thread.

Office Ninja: Univision's Investigative Unit (Univision Investiga) has identified massacres committed using guns from the ATF operation, including the killing of 16 young people attending a party in a residential area of Ciudad Juárez in January of 2010.

The Untold Story Behind The "Fast and Furious" Scandal

Blah blah blah. I've never seen such concntrated stupidity as I do with opponents of the Fast & Furious program.

If you want to track the illegal smuggling of goods, you have to sell those goods through under cover operations. There IS NO OTHER WAY TO DO IT.

Nobody ever gets upset that undercover drug enforcement officers sell drugs while they're undercover... ITS HOW THE shiat WORKS.

If the criminals hadn't gotten F&F weapons, they absolutely would have simply sourced them from elsewhere. Its not like the Mexican mafia just suddenly goes "OH NOES THERE IS NO WHERE TO GET GUNS WHEN THE AMERICAN POLICE ARENT SELLING THEM TO US".

What a bunch of farking retards. God people are stupid and illogically emotional.

So these agents would have been shot irregardless of the provenience of the gun they carried.

Yes, guns don't kill people, people kill people, that in no way endorses giving guns to people who kill people.

THEN IT'S NOT YOUR FARKING PROBLEM.

Crime rates in Maricopa County have gone down - and don't quote the American Voices survey, that 58% spike is in non-incorporated areas and away from population centers where a couple of incidents either way can spike the numbers.

So obviously, something is working.

cause you know we should just airlift domestic security forces to foreign nations without going through proper channels. Ever occur to you we couldn't make sure the site was secure for FBI investigators? Unlike in movies chances are the crime scene guys are not going to be armed to the teeth combatants, they need guards while they do their work. Also, how soon after was DSS on the scene is the real important question since it falls under their jurisdiction

If DEA officers sell a truckload of crack, then lose track of it and later it is found to have caused the deaths of hundreds, you sure as shiate better believe there will be accountability.

God, your attempt to actually DEFEND this as a legitimate operation, even when House Democrats agreed with the Inspector General's report damning the botched actions throughout this operation, goes to show your willful ignorance is only slightly greater than your retarded partisan hack comments.

In short, you're an absolute farking moran with your post.

Reported crime rates down? Yeah, I quit calling the cops every time nails were put in my tires. And I didn't report the time my fuel lines were cut. I don't think my neighbor did either.

So, yeah, crime has gone down. Since so many have just quit calling the police out of fear of retribution or just knowing they aren't going to do anything about crime.

1. Legalize pot

Water takes the path of least resistance, as do drug smugglers and illegal immigrants. The war zone sections are the areas it is normally easy to cross. As those get patched up, the trouble spreads to the fringes of those zones. As those get reinforced, the trouble will spread further, etc.

Is every mile a problem? No. Is every accessible mile showing signs of increasing violence? Yes.

With the war in Dumbfarkistan closing down in a few years *sigh* watch to see the Blunder on Drugs start to heat up.

It's because our Military Industrial Complex is going to be casting around for some place to sell their death-wares.

If you wanted to stop the drugs issue you'd go after transportation (trucks boats aircraft) you'd go after the money (banks negotiable instruments, off-shoreisms).

If you really wanted to stop the war on drugs you'd go after the money. Nobody smuggles drugs for fun. Do you really think living the way it has to be (the continual threat of being shot and or killed) is fun? It's for the money, period.

Pull the money out of the equation and *poof* no more drug "problem".

Wrong. Law enforcement sells undercover drugs all the time without even bothering to watch where it goes.

Nobody gives a shiat, and there is no accountability.
