ArkAngel: Both are wastes of money

and both contingents have about the same ability to plate anything.

Feel ripped off. I paid $2.50 for Astros vs Cards last week.

Cub trifecta in play. Not bad for a team with 100 losses.

There's an article on the Tribune's web site (behind the paywall), with this actual headline:

"Awful season aside, Cubs on the right track"

Dude, your team just lost 100 games. Not only are they NOT on the right track, they couldn't find the train station with a map, compass, GPS, and a guide.

The question really is would you rather be a third world starving orphan or watch that 'baseball' game.

losing 100 games isn't a good metric for the long-term direction a team is going. the tigers went from posting the most losses in the history of the american league to playing in the world series in just 3 years.

Don't they do the "fan appreciation day" anymore, where they give away a ton of stuff?

I remember when the White Sox were a horrible team in the 80s and 90s (and attendance showed)... that game (usually the last or second to last game of the season) would bring a big crowd.

I'd rather watch a baseball glove than that game.

You could probably get a cheap ticket, then move to a much better spot. Unless they still have the same nazi ushers who would threaten to kick you out if you were in so much as the wrong section that were there 10-15 years ago when I went with some degree of regularity.

/probably not since they were all like 80 years old then

Cubs owners could have avoided this calamity of a season by spending on free agents, instead of plowing millions into losing campaign to defeat Obama.

Not sure about the Cubs, but the White Sox ushers are nazis about it.  Also, people in the upper deck cannot even come down to the lower deck.

I love a lot of things about US Cellular (the food and beer selections)... but the ushers suck.

FTA - Or you can pay $200+ to watch two 100-loss teams up close!

I would rather watch a gorilla take a big runny steamy crap then EVER go to wrigley field.
