Oh... I really expected the third guy's attempt to backfire. Drastically.

Me too. That is the kind of thing he wouldn't have tired if there wasn't a camera and crew nearby.

I have to admit, the skipping was a nice touch.

/I chuckled.

If I came around the corner and saw my kid skipping away with another adult, it probably wouldn't have ended with everyone laughing.

Challenge: click on a truTV link.

I failed. I couldn't do it. I couldn't click on that link and contribute to the statistics of the Internet equivalent of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."

99 times out of 100 the guy who grabs a 4 year old's hand and leads her away from her parents with the promise of candy didn't do it for a tv show. To paraphrase Dave Chappelle, you might not be a pedophile, but you're wearing a pedophile's uniform. So don't get all indignant and call someone else paranoid when they inevitably call you out.

Quite frankly, if you see a complete stranger walking away with your kid and you don't think that something might be wrong, you're an idiot. Fark is filled with stories about stupid and gullible people who ignored obvious warning signs and end up worse off because of it. There is a middle ground between helicopter parenting and letting some guy skip away with your kid.
