Magruda: Question: If the Doctor hates losing companions so much why did he run away from the only one that was immortal? Is he that much of a homophobe?

No, because no matter how awesome the doctor is, Jack will always be more fabulous.

Burn_The_Plows: Baron Harkonnen: I really would like to see Amy and Rory get back to the present.

Hell no. I stopped watching it midway through last season because of that round-headed twat. She's the worst companion since Rose, which I thought wouldn't have been possible. I only watched this season because I knew the Ponds were going away. I giggled like a schoolgirl (twice!) at the end of last Saturday's episode. I'm hoping the show will again be enjoyable to watch.

I'm actually not fond of Matt Smith's Doctor, but I think that just from the Pond stench rubbing off on him, so I'm going to keep an open mind when the spring season starts.

Wow. You're such a badass.

It's even more badass that you're stuck on David tenant as the real doctor.

FunkOut: SearchN: likefunbutnot: True story: I once got to see one of (in-TFamous professional attention whore) LBJ's co-workers lecture a 60 year old steelworker about Doctor Who for about 20 minutes. She had been talking about Doctor Who when I got there and she was still talking about Doctor Who when we left.

Word of advice, don't mention that name again. Lot's of us have seen the cornfield for it. If you are curious, EIP,

/damn it 2nd thread jack today.

Oh my, there's a few more things you should probably fill him in on for not mentioning. Or even asking about.

Sooo, how's gor---CARRIER LOST---

Broktun: I liked Rose, she was my first.

When I saw the preview for "Army of Ghosts" where she said "This is the story of how I died" in the voice over, I cringed.

I was so happy at the beginning of that episode and so disappointed at the end. Rose was a terrible character. Plus, she was like herpes, every now and then she'd flare up again when you thought she was gone. They even put her in an alt-verse and she still came back.

As much as people deride the Pond show, it is superior (IMHO) to the Rose show, especially the 2.0 version with emo-doc.

In the entire reboot I think the coolest moments were with Sarah Jane in the Reunion episode. Not the episode itself, but there were real moments in there, plus K9 made an appearance.

AdolfOliverPanties: OR they'll just go with the alternate timeline thing they hinted at in the coda. The Doctor will meet Amelia Pond in her garden and tell her stories of adventures and not abandon her for 12 years so she goes nuts and creates the "Raggedy Doctor" in her mind all during her childhood. She'll live a normal life, meet Rory, get married, have Brian as father in law blah blah blah.

You're forgetting that way back in the Eleventh Hour, you see little Amelia look up as if she sees something. It was brought up endlessly in discussions that season as people tried to figure out where the story arc was going. In other words, Moffatt already had it built into that episode that the future Doctor would go back and visit little Amelia in her garden and tell her stories.

Those are pretty good. Except:

A sentimental Britpop power ballad scors a tender scene about the power of love.

I have NEVER heard a Britpop song in a Doctor Who episode.

They mean the orchestral scores. You see Britain is so fancy their pop music is clasical.
