And some of you idiots don't believe that Space Jam is actually the true story of the events that lead to Jordan's return to basketball. That's exactly how it happened.

I believed every part of that movie except the part where someone stole Shawn Bradley's basketball skill. Evidently, not tripping over the baselines is a skill that can be stolen.

It's shiat like this that keeps Grantland from being a real blog. Sometimes they have brilliant pieces like exposing the Panthers GM, but then there's this garbage.

And let's be honest, Jordan's been trolling everyone by making us think he cared about owning a basketball team.

I must defend Mr. Browne a bit here: I really enjoy Rembert Explains the 80's. Though it might have to do with the fact that I'm about his age (just slightly older) and my reactions to those videos are more or less in line with his.

That's three minutes of my life I'll never get back. Thanks Sport's Guy, for greenlighting that shiat! Why don't you have your peons answer your mailbag instead? Because that's really the only thing worth reading from you and your "team" now.

No, he's most certainly that. no better teams ever anywhere than his bulls in the 90's. these are facts.

I am from Chicago, and that's just a stupid argument to make.

I've heard decent arguments that Jordan isn't the best basketball player in history, and now you're saying "in the history of team sports"? Off the top of my head, Wayne Gretzky was better at hockey than Jordan was at basketball, and both Jim Brown and Jerry Rice were better at football than Jordan was at basketball.

Was he the most talented? No. Was he the most athletic? No. Was he the most competive? YES! And that alone made him the greatest player of team sports of all time. Simply put, his teammates were scared to death of failing him. Name me someone else who made his teammates MUCH better than they actually were.

That wasn't a very long wait. Jordan was one of the best ever at basketball, and I enjoyed the hell out of the two three-peats in the 90s, but he's not the best player in team sports. Bill Russell may even get the nod over him in his own sport.

Well, since the sporcle quiz only went with MLB, NFL, and NBA, I had to not only google "longest span between MVP awards," but I googled "NHL MVP awards" too. Took like a whole minute to find!

/got all the NFL ones right and just misspelled Bob Pettit's name on the NBA one - sucked at the MLB ones
//if you'd like to include Cy Young awards in MLB (which would make sense since it's really the MVP award for pitchers) then you can add Roger Clemens and Steve Carlton to the list.

And he played in a totally different era (read: more white guys who wouldnt smell a roster spot in jordans era). did not realize bonds won an mvp 12 yrs after his first (although none of his records should stand for juicing). gretsky did it 9 yrs after his first so the only one i really missed was gordie howe. And no im not counting pitchers who play every 5 days. Geez...wanna throw gold glovers into the mix too?

//jordan will always be the greatest
///took 2 yrs off and still came back to win 2 league mvps and 3 finals mvps
///russell would get his knees broken in todays nba
