My wife knows how to make those. I must direct her to this thread.

Clearly destined for topology. Where she will go insane, quit her job, and try to fold her cats through 9 dimensions.

Thanks. When I was younger, I used to color the sides, but since becoming a musicologist, I've found it useful to mark them with pitches. Hexa-hexa-flexagons work extremely well for demonstrating Neo-Riemannian transformations.

Even without understanding them, sentences like this keep me coming back to Fark.

I would find it most enjoyable and entertaining if the female in question would assent to me tongue-punching her fart box.

Someone on reddit posted this picture as an aid to understanding. Frankly, it didn't help me, but maybe you will have better luck.

Thales, Pythagoras, Newton, Descartes, Emma Willard and more all lived and died so this little girl can make cute posts about her standard, teen-aged curriculum, knowledge well before she goes on to make any significant contribution to society.

You're expecting a snarky joke right here about entitlement and knowitall kids, but there isn't one.

This is why we went to space. This is why we walked on the moon. People that work against this, that work against science and maths education are worse than animals. They are monsters.

I'm pretty knowledgeable in physics, and I'd love to make videos like this that explain and describe cool concepts in my field, e.g. electricity, math, quantum mechanics, relativity, etc. I guess I'm not creative (or patient) enough to do it. The closest thing I've found is the "what if..." segments that xkcd has started doing. I'd love to do something like that... I wish it were possible to help him out with those -- maybe compile them into a book, or at the very least make more than one per week.

Unfortunately, this vapid whore will probably get more attention, fame, and money than this somewhat cute girl with the big brain.

Personally, I prefer the girl with the brain.

I understand the concept, your folding triangles from different sections of the strip, hence why you get more than 3 colors as you fold. However the way it's folded up is connecting vertices from a distance. It's sort of like seeing the video of how they explain the 4th dimension (and up to the 10th) with a mobius strip:
