How the hell do you plagiarize a correction? That's so unprofessional it's actually impressive.

For shiats and giggles, I think it would be funny if Gallop conducted a two-part poll of rural America:

Q1: Who do you prefer between Obama and Ahmadinejad?
Q2: Who is Ahmadinejad?

jaybeezey: theMagni: They do have a point though. I think the vast majority of Americans would rather burn down the entire system of government, kick all the soft money out of the system, and regain popular control back from the corporationsferdeal gov't.

As is stands right now, you're going to get farked in the ass either way. You're just deciding if you want to vote for the guy who'll give you a reach-around.

ferdeal? really? I need to check my typing...may be a toomah.

Meanwhile we have fox news printing and airing stuff much more ridiculous than anything the Onion could come up with and they offer no apology...

And whats even funnier... 49% of Americans believe it.

But if Fox News successfully obtained a nuclear weapon, I'm about 85% confident they wouldn't point it toward me (15% because I'm in Democratic Northeast US). Iran, I'm about 50% confident that it probably won't get past Israel and wouldn't get this far up the coast if it made the US. On both counts, there's a margin for error because if it's shiny enough it will just be put on television while some crazy person yells at America.

I don't understand why they don't just say they nuked Israel, then Photoshop it out of Google Earth. They could probably get Google to play with the Maps API (since they let China rub their belly like a good dog) to include "stop at decontamination site 14A, don radiation suit" when getting directions to Israel from Iran.

Iran's Fars News Agency admitted on Sunday that its report, "Gallup Poll: Rural Whites Prefer Ahmadinejad To Obama," was copied entirely from The Onion, a satirical American publication the editors in Tehran mistook for a news source.

Country in which much of its "news" is routinely fictional propaganda has a difficult time understanding the concept of what news is actually supposed to be, and fails to understand the problem with plagiarism.

I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

"Although it does not justify our mistake," he said, "we do believe that if a free opinion poll is conducted in the U.S., a majority of Americans would prefer anyone outside the U.S. political system to President Barack Obama."

Oh yeah, we just love foreigners here. Especially Muslims.
