It's that calm, quiet hope of GOPers that Romney doesn't get beat like a redheaded stepchild in the debate.

WTF Indeed: It's that calm, quiet hope of GOPers that Romney doesn't get beat like a redheaded stepchild in the debate.

If Romney really loses and loses badly, the next things you will be hearing from the Freepers was how Romney was a Liberal plant all along and how it was his job to throw the election for Obama.

This is my prediction.

Well, it's kind of true in a way, although unintentional.

this week could really solidify it for Obama.

I mean, provided Romney doesn't land one of his world famous zingers in the debate...

I, for one, cannot wait to see Romney's campaign reboot this week, as it will setup nicely the Romney Reboot for next week post-debate. THAT reboot will be the most important reboot of the campaign and the one that will surely turn things around for him.

They'll say they didn't go far right enough. Win or lose, that's the only thing the right knows to say after an election cycle. No honest reflection that their campaign platform is out of touch with the mainstream in America or that Romney is a horrible, horrible candidate

Liberal moderator at debate

I don't think Obama can help himself much during the debates because Romney has done such a bad job that Debate Romney will look good in comparison to Campaign Romney. It's kind of like Sarah Palin...say enough incredibly stupid sh*t and when you sound halfway intelligent in the debate you've "won".

Then again, I hope Obama just goes out there and bashes Romney's face repeatedly into the podium for 3 minutes, puts his sunglasses on, waves to the crowd, and leaves the stage.

This is traditionally the last important week- the low information voters pop their heads up in late August, look around for six weeks, and then go back to sleep for the winter. There are so few undecided voters that I'm not even sure this week is important for the Presidency.

No matter what it is bad news for Obama.

This race is still locked up (according to the polls), and that is bad news for Obama. He can't break away. Time is on Romney's side. Unless he makes a serious misstep, I am more and more confident in the outcome. October 1 is a major tipping point. People are going to start making up their minds, and no one who didn't vote for Obama before is going to vote for him now. He's not going to attract many new votes. He's got nowhere to go but down.

2012-10-01 10:47:12 AM
My prediction is that Romney will throw out a number of one-liners that Obama will instantly annihilate, but the GOPers will run with the one-liners anyway. They will post goofy pictures including the one-liners on Facebook and if anyone calls them on it they will claim that liberals can't handle anyone insulting their Messiah.

Also, they will claim Obama was "uncivilized" in beating Romney so badly during the debate and that he besmirched the dignity of the office by making his opponent look like a hopeless dildo.

Popular Vote Totals for 2012 GOP Primaries:

Rick Santorum - 3,932,069
Newt Gingrich - 2,734,571
Ron Paul - 2,095,762

You would think Obama would play it safe and not mix it up in the debate however he is intensely competitive and he if he approaches this debate like a game, he wins. He has shown during the campaign that he is very comfortable keeping Romney on the defense. He has been relentless and has timing has always kept Romney in a position of defending instead of attacking. Shoot first, aim later was priceless. If Obama lands 2 or 3 of those against Romney's "zingers" it will be a sight to behold.

I think it would do our country a great deal of good if people on the left realized it's the beliefs and policies of the left that are circling down the drain. It's the insanity, the derp and sometimes the complete lack of care for the population that is winning politically for the GOP. I don't see it changing anytime soon because it's working. You don't need the fed if you can do it state by state. You don't need to hold POTUS if you get what you want in Congress. You don't need to hold Congress if you get what you want through filibuster.

I think the debates are going to be pretty neutral at best for Romney. After three debates he might gain 1-2% points. He might.

Obama's going to continue to do what he does best, lay out his policy, explain what he thinks is best for the country, and tout places where he's been successful like foreign policy.

Romney is going to go on the attack and try to win through some cute turns of phrase.

FoxNews will declare a win for Romney, MSNBC will declare a win for Obama, and CNN will declare a win for Potato.

Someone will ask some retarded independents some questions on who they thought won while I will roll my eyes because let's be honest if you're independent at this point you're an idiot.

I wouldn't disagree with that but would add that I do think the right is much better and getting out the vote in primaries and races in off year elections, at least here in Texas. Most mainstream people in Texas that could put moderate GOP candidates in office and even Democrats in swing districts just don't vote in off year elections and primaries
