andyofne: UT 3 was a pile of suck.

It most certainly was. IIRC, that game was the answer to the question "hey, what sort of sequel can we give to our loyal gaming community?" And one of the most rushed, poorly made and blatantly obvious console ports on the planet was released, and that was that.

Not since UT3 came out. Big disappointment as far as the single player campaign went. Pretty half-assed maps, too. Still, the graphics are good.

I liked UT 2004 just fine. I waited for UT 3 hoping they could recapture some of the magic they created with "classic" UT (1999) but it never happened. UT 3 was a pile of suck.

Surely, this development will go over well in the video game industry that is currently making a killing by selling subscriptions to multiplayer game modes.

And then Epic repeatedly asserted that the game sold poorly because of software piracy.

I still want my money back.

People still use this abhorrently tired meme-question, so it certainly seems feasible that they still play the UT series.

Leave your Q2 disc in the bin, but fire up Q3, which is still a better shooter than 98% of the FPS on the market. (as is UT2003)
