Nelly Furtado is listed as $ big money ? What the hell for?

2001-11-20 12:11:18 AM
For her last name being so funny...

2001-11-20 12:11:35 AM
aw hell, who am I kidding? Her whole name is funny!

2001-11-20 12:11:49 AM
I want Kid Rock to cruise by and bring Pam!

I'd pay a dollar to see them titties!!!

2001-11-20 12:12:59 AM
I haven't heard some of these bands since they burned out after their one hit song a year or two ago! I can really save big by hiring washed up bands for prices that only the five richest kings of Europe could afford.

I feel like haggeling the agents...

2001-11-20 12:14:01 AM
Grrr no Deftones....Chino come give me love!

2001-11-20 12:14:36 AM
interesting to look at. if you want the most for your money go for henry rollins. great guy. read his books, see him live, listen to his music. he knows whats up.

Tool Doubtful for Colleges $ not even a chance
Radiohead No Colleges $ Way too much for schools

hehe

2001-11-20 12:15:23 AM
ok.. So I'd get BNL if I had the chance..

Begin your flaming... NOW!

2001-11-20 12:16:11 AM
Does anyone else have a problem with Creed being the most expensive act? $200K to hear "Arms Wide Open" for the bazillionth time? I think not...

2001-11-20 12:16:56 AM
Boppsta's right, if you want a great thought provoking show, get Rollins.

2001-11-20 12:17:29 AM
Mr. Rollins has a neck thicker than his head. There is something generally wrong with that.

I fear the spoken-word-poet's big ass muscles. Really - asking him to perform for kids at college or something is like asking Walken to read to children (hilarity is a given).

2001-11-20 12:18:32 AM
But he's a nice change of pace from the whiny, biatchy, alterapussy bands out there, so I buy his cds. It's really that simple.

2001-11-20 12:19:49 AM
Cool, I could charge a Doughty concert on my Visa card! Well, if it wasn't maxed out :(

2001-11-20 12:20:12 AM
Heh, a big list of bands no self respecting college student should listen to.

Guess what, you aren't in High School anymore! Listen to big boy music =)

2001-11-20 12:20:15 AM
I wouldn't piss on the lead singer of Creed if he was on fire. Talk about over the top, melodramatic garbage. Blah.

2001-11-20 12:23:21 AM
I agree Bumjube. That would be a fun show.

2001-11-20 12:23:50 AM
Hey, Toll is in that list, and is a good group, with very un-highschoolish music. Too bad there's no chance.

2001-11-20 12:23:57 AM
Humm Dynamite Hack is a good deal.... I like that song 'Boyz in the hood'

2001-11-20 12:24:18 AM
Yeah.. and TOOL is listed too.. yeah.

2001-11-20 12:26:04 AM
Huey Lewis is generally available? Really? I would have thought different...

Worst deal on the page: Tom Petty $100-150k and up

2001-11-20 12:27:21 AM
I just noticed Yellowman for only 3K. I should have him over for a BBQ some time.

2001-11-20 12:27:22 AM
I really feel sorry for Vanilla Ice.

He's been shot down to performing for 6 to 10 thousand dollar shows.

They will probably go to drugs and alcohol or supporting his amazing mansion.

...Wait, no, I don't feel sorry for him.

When you're cool as ice, life's nice like rice.

2001-11-20 12:27:27 AM
Gasmasher:
It's a shame they are so expensive.. I don't think anyone loves me that much...

2001-11-20 12:30:21 AM
Buddy: Big boy music? sorta like the Dirty Dancing soundtrack?

2001-11-20 12:31:30 AM
Best deal on the page: The Urge for $5-7k. They put on one hell of a show.

2001-11-20 12:31:57 AM
Am I having some kinda 80's flashback here?

Heyluno: uhhh.. NKOTB?

2001-11-20 12:32:25 AM
I didn't know what to think after checking his bio either Ethanoic. My dad graduated as an EE from UTA.

2001-11-20 12:33:34 AM
Creed was on Saturday Night Live over the weekend and they will perform at halftime of the Dallas Cowboys/Denver Broncos game, Thanksgiving Day. They must be pushing another lame CD.

2001-11-20 12:38:15 AM
What if.. you might wanna hire maybe just one or two people on this list, and you ummm.. don't necessarily wanna hear them play music? Just a thought....

2001-11-20 12:39:58 AM
I am going to have Mr. Ice come to my house... I will pay an extra $20 for him to shave lines in his head. bring his posse, and dance in my living room while I throw empty peanut shells at him. X-Mas is gonna be extra special this year.

2001-11-20 12:44:55 AM
Best deal not listed on this page - The Dismemberment Plan for $2.

Or get Man.. Or Astro-Man? if you can. Or Rocket From the Crypt. Stick with the indies - you can't go wrong.

2001-11-20 12:46:31 AM
The most bestest deal on the list has got to be Massive Attack at 10-15k. I could listen to their cds (music) and nothing else forever. They even get props from Neo in The Matrix. (He's listening to the Mezzanine album before he gets the white rabbit clue.)

2001-11-20 12:48:09 AM

Word to your mother...

2001-11-20 12:48:33 AM
Massive Attack for 15K??? Awesome...OR I could splurge and have Aaron Lewis...err...Staind all to myself for 25K. I think I'll go count my pennies...

Gasmasher:Electrical Engineering? Impressive. UTA has a very challenging math/engineering dept. I was thinking of returning to UNT, I went there a couple of semesters ago, but UTA is the better school.

2001-11-20 12:55:32 AM
I would've killed a few people I don't like to have gotten Brian Setzer for my wedding. That would've rocked. $30K?! Don't think so. Smoked all my stocks just on the ring. :(

2001-11-20 12:58:08 AM
I went to a Rollins spoken word show a few months back. That man can talk! I love it, he is great. Lot's of BS, but at least he is up front about it.

2001-11-20 12:58:16 AM
Linkin Park - 10-15k.. I hope to make them come play our school now.

2001-11-20 01:00:29 AM
OSU paid Faith Hill $160000 a year or two ago to perform, but she never showed. And she KEPT THE MONEY. We didn't even get any refunds on our tickets.

Orange Peel organizers can blow themselves if they think I'm going to pay for another set of tickets only to get fuccked over again like this.

2001-11-20 01:00:38 AM
I wouldn't walk across the street to see Creed play for free.

2001-11-20 01:09:31 AM
did anybody else notice carrot top being in there.
he sure is my favorite band, and only for a few 25k.

2001-11-20 01:15:58 AM
No Boredoms? What's up with that?

2001-11-20 01:22:58 AM
I can't believe what some of those people are asking for. Jeneane Garafalo for $30k or Massive Attack for $15k? Hrmmm...
And there's a bunch of other bands that I'd like to see listed, where's Man... Or Astroman?, (been said) Manic Street Preachers (probably wouldn't even play the US), Mogwai (again probably wouldn't play the US), or Godspeed You Black Emperor? They don't even have Nine Inch Nails or Marylin Manson listed.
Also, I must agree with Rollins acclaim. He kicks major ass. We should have a Rollins tag, despite the fact that he's rarely in the news.

IckyMettle:Best deal not listed on this page - The Dismemberment Plan for $2.

Or get Man.. Or Astro-Man? if you can. Or Rocket From the Crypt. Stick with the indies - you can't go wrong.

Word. The Dismemberment Plan or RFTC definately blow doors down. I got to see The Dismemberment Plan play a house once. Truly amazing.

2001-11-20 01:37:06 AM
Where the hell is Mr Bungle on the list??

I gots the cash..

2001-11-20 01:37:55 AM
Now if I can just dig that 30k out of the couch I can look forward to a visit from The Brian Setzer Orchestra.

So, what exactly does "all inclusive" entail? Like they'll stay with you and cook for you or something?

2001-11-20 01:41:24 AM
Hey look at that. Chris Rock will perform for $75. Not $75k, $75. Go look at it.

2001-11-20 01:43:05 AM
any show with seats sucks. go out to some local hardcore shows in bars and rip the pit up. its cheap fun and builds character. local bands have a lot of energy.
LOCAL LOCAL LOCAL!

on another note i saw kittie play in boston friday and it was a sick fckin show. get their new album theyre death metal. morgans voice has gotten a lot better and the music makes for a great pit. uNF~!~

2001-11-20 01:46:27 AM
Uh...huh,huh...they said "Tool"...

2001-11-20 01:48:13 AM
OH YEAH, I can get Shawn Mullins for only 10k!

2001-11-20 01:51:42 AM
Mrplaid-In regards to Mogwai,I recall seeing them listed in my local alternative paper here in Portland,OR.Probably doesn't help you,but it looks like they do play the US.
