The way most parents behave today. I wouldn't let any near were the kids are playing.

The kids would have a lot more fun if their parents weren't there.

I was lucky, i had parents who loved going to my games, and just wanted me to have fun. And I did! I played soccer at a high level until my mid twenties when family illness forced me to stop.

Now I have two future step sons who love soccer. I enjoy watching them play, but I have a really hard time resisting the urge to give them tips to make them better, and I won't give them tips unless they ask.

I watched too many overbearing parents at my games just completely ruin the game for my friends

"Now a man faces charges after investigators say he took hundreds of inappropriate pictures of girls at a middle school football game."

What do girls at middle school football games do that's inappropriate to photograph? Scissoring after goals?

darth_shatner: Sems like the nanny state can get away with almost anything as long as its to "protect us from terrorists", or keep our children "safe"

It's exactly one school doing this. Hardly a "nanny state" sort of issue.

There are some barking mad nutters working as primary school head teachers. This is fairly typical behaviour of the breed.

Oh, I'm absolutely aware of that. We get them in the U.S. too.
