People can't handle counter protests. I nearly got beat up every time I picketed against the socialist club at my uni.

My girlfriend agrees with a lot of Socialist ideas, so she decided to goto the campus Socialist club. She thought they were all farking insane.

Personaly clubs scare the fark out of me. You ever notice no matter what kind of club it is, it's full of nutballs?

Also, I agree with the sign. I remember when WTO went down here in Seattle a few years back. Dirty hippies wondering why there wasn't more of an outrage. I mentioned to a couple that if everybody cleaned up and was photographed getting beaten down while wearing suits, people would pay more attention. Now the usual reaction is a simple, "Oh, look, they're beating up dirty street kids. Good."

At least the "dirty hippie" is getting some tang from some freshman that looks up to him, while the "Republicans" are getting to know their hands better.

The mormon's were having their big annual convention and of course there were the protesters. Now these protesters like most "open minded" progessives unconditionally HATE all Christians regardless of denomination.

So this one guy is protesting, using a megaphone to scream at all these horrible sub-human creatures that must be hated. When this guy who isn't a mormon sees how annoying this jerk is so he goes home makes up a sign that says "I'm with stupid" and stands next to the jerk for the rest of the day. He also yells "I have a bigger mega-phone so I must be right". No direct confrontations no blood was spilt. He just made an a$$hole look like an a$$hole.

In college I was disgustingly liberal. Now that I've lived in the real world, I've picked up some nice habits like hygene and actually working for a living. Understanding that the world doesn't owe you shiat tends to light a fire under you.

And yes, having been to several protests, I can safely say that many of them could indeed use a shower. There is nothing sexy or even attractive about BO or patchouli stink.

Xtremehkr has a good point. Conservatives are still reaching for the 60s for stereotypes, to cover 1) their lack of original ideas and 2) their bad policies. Who is a "hippy" or "communist" anymore? If conservatives tried discussing their real ideas, such as the idea that poor and middle income people are "lucky ducks" who don't pay *enough* taxes, folks would come after them with torches.
