I am entitled to make claims about business knowledge because of studying them , yet never actually producing anything in my life but opinions.

In other words, just as much business experience as Paul Ryan? The one who says his tax policy is too difficult to explain?

Yeah, it's a good thing I didn't stop at "I am entitled to complain about the economy even when my stock price, my portfolio and my profits are at record levels." I was about to march in here and piss all over it.

Because there are actually people who would say that. And they are correct to a point, but they miss many larger points in the process.

If you can't win an argument, build a strawman.

At this point we should have straw shortages.

I am a true job creator. I spend my money purchasing goods and services. I do not horde my money or send it overseas. I put it all directly into my local economy. I provide the demand that creates jobs. No jobs are created because of tax cuts.

I am entitled to pass on my accumulated wealth tax-free to heirs, who in turn, are entitled to claim that they earned everything they have.

Hey now, Mitt's 100 million dollar IRA and tax free 100 million dollar trust fund for his five sons were totes legal!

They could say everyone is a job creator. They all pay into a system and use resources that keep others employed. It be a bit hard to have jobs if there is no consumers for the goods and services you produce.

My wife is a job creator. She own her own salon and employs five others. If you raise our taxes, we will still employ five and simply do with less. If you lessen our taxes, we still will only employ as many people as we need to provide service to our clients and pocket the difference. If demand goes up, and we can find competent tech, we will employ them, no matter what our tax rate is. We've had an awesome past couple years, and have directly benefited from massive infrastructure rebuilding. We will still vote for Obama, even if we have to pay an additional 3-5% on any income we make over $250,000.

No argument here.

In point of fact, I've been noting for a while now that Mitt Romney because of the way he's dealt with his money (maximizing loopholes, off shore havens etc) is really the ultimate poster boy for why the tax reforms Obama and the Dems are talking about are so necessary.

I welcome that debate.

You are doing it right. Thank you.

The people saying they'll have to fire employees or not hire more if the taxes on the top bracket of their profit goes up by a small percentage? They apparently have no idea what they're doing, what is and isn't taxable, what the entire point of having employees is, etc.

Or they're lying.

Sounds like he's a socialist. If he were a Real American™, he'd outsource his staff, overleverage his salon, take huge bonuses, have the salon declare bankruptcy and blame government regulations.
