Monty is totally correct here. It's inexcusable for Rory to do that. And inexcusable for the captain and his assistants to allow it.

NBC in their typical fashion are overplaying the commercials and barely showing any golf what so ever. Then they put on fluff piece after fluff piece or do everything they can to avoid actually playing golf. I think they are at about 5 minutes per each golf section before they go to commercials.

I'm pretty sure NBC is the worst sports broadcaster in the world. They butcher the Olympics and they are horrible at golf. I wish this was on NBC. I personally went over to the life online feed of the Ryder Cup and those guys are so much better and pretty funny. I would definitely recommend it if you want to avoid all the commercials.

fark, what a shot by Kaymer.

2012-09-30 06:01:59 PM
Wat? Damn it.

2012-09-30 06:02:20 PM
Stricker has to stick it close.

2012-09-30 06:02:22 PM
Kaymer may have sealed the deal. Not a birdie but I don't see Stricker making birdie at this point.

2012-09-30 06:02:34 PM
Come on, Stricker. Knock this close....

2012-09-30 06:02:35 PM
OK Stricker, up and down from 165 now

2012-09-30 06:03:26 PM
Game. Blouses.

2012-09-30 06:03:34 PM
USA is screwed.

2012-09-30 06:03:52 PM
Stricker, you have failed America.

2012-09-30 06:03:58 PM
You suck, Stricker

2012-09-30 06:04:03 PM
Choke almost complete. Stricker in worse position than Kaymer.

David Carradine is nearing climax somewhere.

2012-09-30 06:04:26 PM
It's over- Europe pulls off the most shocking comeback and the USA chokes.

2012-09-30 06:04:38 PM
It's over. Stricker loses 18

2012-09-30 06:05:18 PM
Does Mr. Woods play too?

2012-09-30 06:06:37 PM
Well, Tiger is 1 up going to 18. Not that it matters.

I can't stand BS like that. Maudlin crap.

This isn't DLIII's fault. Phil asked to take a session off yesterday and everyone wanted to stay with their partners. And the players blew it today.

WHAT THE fark KIND OF PUTT WAS THAT.

2012-09-30 06:09:27 PM
TERRIBLE putt

2012-09-30 06:10:10 PM
Kaymer not a perfect putt, but at least it was ON THE LINE.

2012-09-30 06:11:03 PM
Rarely do men get to choke twice....here is one of those times...

2012-09-30 06:11:09 PM
Tiger is going to get blame even if he wins his single, but Stricker was absolutely the weakest link on this team. Him and Furyk were just not good. Mahan and Fowler could have done better

2012-09-30 06:11:24 PM
Make the putt

2012-09-30 06:12:22 PM
Hey, he sunk that one. Kaymer needs to sink this.

2012-09-30 06:12:37 PM

2012-09-30 06:12:39 PM

Someone tell Kaymer about the War. That'll distract him.

2012-09-30 06:13:01 PM
I'd be worried about the putt missing if Furyk or Stricker were in this situation. But I think Kaymer will get it.

2012-09-30 06:13:15 PM
Those USA! USA! chants are just embarrassing.

2012-09-30 06:13:21 PM

Nice captains pick there Davis. Stricker could not even crap out a half. And Tiger is less than consequential, which is fitting. He should resign and keep his contribution untarnished.

If I could pick one nationality in the world to sink that putt at the end I'd pick a German - you just knew it was going in. Thank god we didn't have to rely on the Italian. Justin Rose deserves a mention too, massive putt from him on the 17th, was the turning point.

Yanks choked though.

2012-09-30 06:22:31 PM
At least the Euros had the class to refrain from dancing all over the green when they iced it before it was over.

Fu*k 'em all, bunch of damn pansies. They're all at fault. The pkayers get everything they want at every turn from a very young age, and you get sh*t like this. Mental midgets, 90% of the Tour field is these days. The next guy who wants to tell me that today's fields are tougher than those of Jack's era can eat a di*k. More talented? Deeper? Probably. But Trevino and Player and Palmer would sh*t down the throats of today's players and laugh about it. What a disgrace.

2012-09-30 06:24:56 PM
The fark, Tiger?

2012-09-30 06:25:59 PM
The calm words of the BBC:

'Of course, whenever there's a comeback, it's accompanied by a choke, and I'm struggling to remember a bigger collective choke than that. The Americans look like they've had their hearts ripped out, it's a scene of utter desolation. Woods very nearly chips in on 18 as Molinari leans on his putter, trying his very best to look interested, but clearly wanting to get plumbed into some Moet instead...'

German sportsmen are well known over here for having "clutch" as you'd call it, just something about their mentality - they always seem to stay calm and get the job done. Once Kaymer got 1up with 1 to play you knew he wasn't going to throw it away. I wouldn't have been able to hold a club never mind putt that last shot.

We'll be looking for redemption next year at the Presidents Cup at Muirfield. I'm gonna see what I can do to get passes so I can yell NOONAN! at some foreigners

You knew Stricker was going to miss the putt on 17. He stepped away from the put, whipped off the blade, and stepped back over the putt. Easy to say now but it was obvious he was going to miss it.

Well, I think we've probably seen the last of the "let's pick the old guys" for Captain's picks.

Furyk, Stricker..not much going on there at all. Would Hunter Mahan done better? Debatable as he was the notable choker in 2010 but I don't think anyone is going to be nodding their heads in agreement over the "veteran presence" pick in 2014.

Tiger...he better hope he's in the top 8 of points because I don't think anyone can just pick him on reputation alone anymore. 0-4...ouch. Phil? Looked good with Keegan, but his overall record isn't much (if at all) better than Tiger's. And to be up on the 17th and let Rose take it like that? Brutal.

Really interesting that the US curb stomped in the first two days with the team events, supposedly a Euro strength what with their "we play for each other" mentality and wilted in the individual matches. You'd think it would have been the opposite.

Can't wait until the next Ryder Cup.

Remember the Ryder surrender - is the new hotness

I didn't watch the tail end of the Cup unfortunately, but did Johnny Miller finally stroke out?
