Nothing about this story is shocking to me in the least... it seems exactly like the type of thing he would do.

I get that people have different music tastes, and certainly understand buying albums that seem original and unique. But all of Jack White's skills center around creating a global, word-of-mouth/social media-driven, self-marketing campaign, not around creating music. If you're going to spend at least $40 on a ticket, it should be on someone who puts their actual music ahead of everything else. It doesn't seem that hard to tell the difference.

I paid $10 to see him with the Raconteurs a few years back. Best $10 concert I've ever been to. If you don't think he's a skillful rock & roll machine, you don't know dick about rock & roll.

To be fair, s/he was just responding to someone who volleyed a "I hate NYC" shot.

While I have no clue what crawled up Jack White's ass and caused him to cut the show short, I will say I just really like pizza. Whether I can eat it while walking, or need to sit down and eat it with a fork, any sort of combination of cheese, sauce and other stuff is generally quite tasty.

Maybe he was jonesing for some Cleveland-style pizza?

I saw him in August and wish it would have been 45 minutes. I had hoped to see some of that Under Blackpool Lights magic. Ended up with the guy doing a masturbatory homage to his career.

As some other Farker said in another thread, Chicago-style "pizza" isn't pizza at all, it's a bread bowl filled with spaghetti sauce.

I was born in Chicago and lived there unti I was in the 7th grade.

Never heard of deep dish pizza until I was in high school.

Still have never tried it (even though I go back every couple of years to visit family).

A perfect Chicago pizza has a thin, crispy ( not soggy like NYC pizza) crust.

With sausage, peppers, onions and mushrooms.

It's not "New York Style" - it's simply "pizza" - period.

Everything else is garbage.

New York-style pizza is pizza. That sloppy casserole bullshiat they serve in Chicago is not.

In the end, your favorite pizza is what you grew up eating. Some of us are more fortunate than others to have lived in NY.
