That's a really good commercial. Someone's practicing some buffed out CGI skills.

Boy, are the kids ever going to be disappointed when they actually get to a game...

They'll be even more disappointed when they find out #41 up there on the mound is a cheap Chinese knockoff and that the real #41 was traded to Cincinnati 130 years ago.

Excellent commercial! I'm digging to see what agency did this.

/could be one of our sister agencies, but I doubt it because of our talent pool

Well done!

Meh, the flyover would have hit the buildings.

If only they put that much effort into the real game.

That was the first thing I thought of too, but it's more like this:
Rail Gun

They show the Digital Domain ad before the Mets lineup announcement every home game. Before this one, they had a similar DD CGI showcase with a catcher wearing #31 (Piazza's number) throwing out a runner at second. Yeah sure, Piazza throwing out a base-stealer. Totally believable guys!

/Still love Piazza
//Optimus Seaver is better

Lol, my first thought as well ;)

I thought it was stupid. I like baseball and robots, but if I wanted to watch a robot pitch, I'd watch a Jugs. I also hate cgi and overly dramatic cartoon drama.

that commercial was needlessly over-produced and occasionally slow and uneventful.

much like the game of baseball.

It stinks, and I don't like it.

Came here to say this. Sad to see that even in the future, it takes over a minute to perform an event that should take 3 seconds.
I need a sport with constant action. That's why I wait 4 years for the Olympics and their Curling coverage.

And after all that it turns out the Mets' best pitcher was a guy whose money pitch can barely break a wet paper towel.

That game was great. Many a fight was had in the daycare over playing that or Link to the Past.

Being the Mets, the Robots then proceeded to collide into each other, allowing a routine drop fly to fall between them, and allowing the winning run to score.

Yeah, it's pretty much just watching two guys play catch while another eight guys stand around and watch. Occasionally, one of the watching guys tries to interrupt the game of catch by swatting at the ball with a stick. And sometimes he does it. When that happens, the other guys all run around and get the ball until they get it back to the original two guys and then they play catch some more.

Is the smog so bad in NYC that you need a stank shield to play baseball?

No but a skank shield could be handy in Flushing...
