Come on stubby, Norwich is next to the Broads not the Fens.

But yeh I expect Liverpool to get some dodgy calls for them as the big teams always get them over the little teams. Fact of life. Just look at what Chelsea get away with.

Sweet! I'm in the States, so I can catch Arsenal on ESPN2

The only thing sweeter than Liverpool losing? Liverpool losing with lots of reasons to whine about it.

"We lost fair and square, they were the better team on the day" said absolutely no Liverpool fan ever.

Ashley Cole and John Terry getting a warm reception at the Emerates. Just goes to show what independent football fans think of Terry.

Good morning Fark Fitba Fans! Many apologioes for not setting up the predictions league to start the season. Sometimes the internet is unavailable due to civil unrest, poor weather, and Verizon wireless sucking on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. I saw you guys had it set up and I hope it's going well for all of you. Anyway, here's me on top of Divide mountain, 8665 feet, right outside of Glacier National Park, Northwestern Montana:

I'm not stubby. 182 cm and manly shoulders. Ahem.

For Norwich born players, does the extra toe make finding boots that fit difficult?

Fens, schmens. You can'nae expect a Northerner to know the details of southern-poofter geography.

Damn, I had to let the dog out and make coffee and I  missed both the Diaby injury (was it serious looking or just a knock?)  and the goal by...Torres? That can't be right.

Arsenal and Chelsea both looking dangerous, but Chelsea playing with a bit more confidence.

Yer can'nae expect a Northerner to do anything but sign on so you are forgiven. Most of the six toe'd freaks are over the border in Cambridgshire and Lincolnshire or immigrants turfed out of the east end slums.

Clearly the tags not on my side today. I'd like to blame the iPad, but that wouldn't be honest.

FFPL report to follow in the gap between this game and the main set at 1500.

Any of you live in Seattle/Portland?

Going to be in both cities next week, looking for advice. Going to sounders/timbers, very excited.

Chupra,

Not too late to join the league. You wouldn't be starting that far behind in the great scheme of things and the number of incompetents almost endures a rapid rise though the ranks. Also, a Fulham fan is winning. Indeed, top three all have white in their strips.

How is it possible that ESPN3 is so,so shait? I get 24mbps down and consistently only get one freaking "quality" bar. When FirstRow blows your picture away you must be shiat.

I'll get HD for a couple minutes here and there, especially for the cricket, but football always sucks for me. High demand in SoCal maybe? Whatever, it's annoying as fark.

My presence on the internet in the coming season is going to be... inconsistent. I'm still in Missoula then to Portland and Seattle followed by a period of time in Arizona and finally in New York.

The day we summitted divide was cold and windy and early season. Summer in Montana is gorgeous. 70 and sunny nearly every day. For instance, this is the view from Dawson pass, later in the season.

Cmon you mighty reds! We need to get back on track against Norwich today.

Oh and the Lennon airport sign graffiti is hilarious. Saw that on Talksport this week, too funny.

Reina, Wisdom, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Sahin, Gerrard, Allen, Sterling, Suso, Suarez.
Subs: Jones, Carragher, Henderson, Downing, Assaidi, Coates, Borini.

Good on Suso and Wisdom getting starts, showed a lot of promise in their last games. Thank goodness Agger isn't out injured.

How shiat are Enrique and Doni where they can't even make this bench?

Boooo, go United! (DC that is). I won't be able to watch the Timbers/DCU game tonight, but should DC get 3 points it all but guarantees they make it to the playoffs.

With a strike force of Morrison, Jackson and Holt i can't see Liverpool keeping a clean sheet today and Liverpool have a realy bad scoring record. I see a 1-0 to Norwich.

2-1 with a 'pool own goal is my guess.

YES!
great match, some mistakes from both clubs,
MATA was incredible!
Cech is now #3!
but Luis is an airhead-
the Gunners were unlucky but lucky at times- and should get some hardware this season.

Arsenal are going to have to learn how to defend set pieces or at least figure out basic things like talking to each other (second goal) or marking every offensive player (first goal).

United/Spurs should be great later.
