I'm a libtard, and I drink Busch Light.

Of course I'd drink Bell's Two Hearted if I had my druthers, though.

this blows my mind.

i thought if you drank beer... any beer, you were a republican and true patriot, and if you drank wine, you were an effete democrat...

since i drink all types of beer and wine, i am a safely ensconced moderate

/although my penchant for bourbons on occasion veers me dangerously into anarchy

I drink SA, can't vote but if I could it'd probably be for a third party if not Democrat, so, I guess I broke their poll

/and I"d bet typical repubs drink bud/bud light.

It those lieberals led by 0bummer who are trying to use their green energy ethanol subsidies to kill the barley industry under the hoax of global warming so that we can't have Real American drinks like bourbon and beer and we're forced to drink pinko french commie wine coolers

That's not home brew. That's Westveleten beer from a Belgium monestary that doesn't sell it outside the village and even then by special order you have to place in advance. Vanity Fair and another major magazine ranked it the best beer in the world. I've had 3 and it took me 12 trips to Belgium (for work) to finally get my hands on a few. In terms of beer it is truly the kiss of God

And actually, on that score I have to confess to an affinity for Schaefer. It tastes kind of like sweet cornbread, though I haven't seen it on the shelf in years. It was definitely one of the kings of the beer slum as far as I'm concerned.

ultraholland: mrshowrules: Considered the best beer in the world by many experts.

I split one with a friend last year and I will agree that it's quite tasty. Was glad to partake.

I've haven't met many other Canadians that have had partaken of this sweet elixir. I shared one with my Brother in law. 1 of only 5 I've acquired. I made him drink about a dozen other varieties of Belguim beers to make sure he would like/appreciate it before I let him drink it.

Honestly, if I would have drunken this beear 10 years ago, I wouldn't have cared for it. Very acidic and flat to the untrained palette. It took me drinking tons of beer variety in Belgium (mostly Brussels) to develop the taste/appreciation for it. It has ruined standard beer for me (American/Canadian) and now I need flavour in my beer.

Also, you reminded me that I have a case of Fransiskaner at the office that I need to relocate to my bar fridge for tonight! Better get a move on it!

I've been drinking quality beers for years now and that one was up there. Dark. Robust. Forbidden. However I can't say that it ruined beers by any means; there are a CRAP-TON of good beers on the market. I'm still not adverse to drinking something light and crappy (i.e. icy-cold Coors Light, cold as the Rockies) when the mood calls for it.

True party faithful drink other people's beer.

Then they lecture everybody else on temperance (GOP) or calories and carbs (Democrats).

Libertarians brew their own.
