MattyFridays: ecl:

I own up to my mistakes. Any more stupid questions?

Richards apologized, he's been out of the public eye for 7+ years, and this is a mea culpa in every sense of the word.

I'm not sure how much more "owning up" to his mistakes he can make. He overreacted to the heckling, he ADMITS he overreacted... and he apologized. I'm not sure what else you want him to do.

It's clearly haunted him and his thoughts at many times.

ecl needs to release the hate, let it go, all that hate's gonna burn you up, kid.

i have this suspicion that the combination of the internets and camera phones with video recording is going to make the whole world a little more guarded and less interesting.

/ being racist is not interesting. I just mean that the freedom to be a dumbass in secret is starting to be limited. I think some should invite a white light generator that destroys video taking capacity or something. put it in all the bars I go to.. especially those where I try to dance

The heckler deserved his blowup and MR did NOT deserve the public backlash.

I more or less assumed from the start that he let the guy in the audience get under his skin, and he reflexively went for the most offensive, hurtful response he could.

You don't have to be racist to know how to go for the jugular.

Doesn't matter, though, I'm not his target audience so my understanding and lack of rage at his actions doesn't help him out.

Nice interview and nice to hear Kramer address the issue so bluntly, he does seem genuinely remorseful/disgusted at himself. Some poignant bits in there, like when he thanks Jerry for sticking by him.
