While I find little to be of value in most of the pop music produced during the last couple decades, I have no vested interest or personal desire to see this series end.

To be fair that's not any worse than how most of our "fairy tales" originated.

My neice and nephew loved these when they were kids, probably until about the age of 12.

NOW Albums: For people who don't know how to find a top-40 station on the radio.

The Now! comps became redundant as soon as individual tracks were available inside 10 seconds and for free (or extremely cheap for music). They served a function prior to Napster but now they're just playlists on a coaster.

If Now! discs were available in genres updated once every year / other year they'd have some value as the creators would need to find artists to fill the gaps (and offer better exposure to those who need it) but as Pop comps they're useless as 'pop' recycles itself several times a year.

I love the NTWICM series - it;s a great way to collect pop music without having to buy the damn full albums or singles.

As a joke one of the owners of my local pub loaded the juke box with nothing but these albums for a week. I managed to find all of them. Pissed off the regulars
