Great, so they'll change all the Olympus cameras from proprietary xD memory cards to proprietary Sony® Memory Stick cards now.

Maybe Sony will finally get on the M4/3 standard.

They have cashflow. In corporate land, that's all that matters.

So Olympus didn't know that Olympus was hiding losses?

Even their own cameras have moved to sd cards, iirc. Which is good, because fark having to use memory sticks.

How do you like the OM-D?

I have been using my E3 and E-30 for the past few years and have not really wanted to move to M4/3, wanting to stick with 4/3 and hoping there would be a new big box [but think that is now unlikely].

Absolutely love it! Had a E-PL1, then E-PL3 and finally bought the OM-D and couldn't be happier. The focusing is quick with the variable lenses and lightning quick with the prime I have (45). Get the HLD-6 if you get one - expensive ($300) for a grip/battery holder, but it makes the camera so much easier to hold/operate (and you only need attach the bottom battery part when needed - well thought out addition).

When I used to shoot with the OM-1 and OM-4 I used the Winder2 as grip/battery holder [also flash] so that is an option I have liked for years. And yes, I have been shooting Olympus since 1975,

Sounds good. It is about time to change up. Thanks

I shoot an E-30, very happy with it. It uses compact flash AND xD. Getting an OM-D as soon as humanly possible, and I'm moving to micro four thirds.

It does not suck. Maybe I do, maybe I don't, but the camera is perfectly adequate.
