Suddenly being a 39 year old back in school doesn't seem so bad.

/Actually it's pretty nice when the weather is warm and the girls are wearing tank tops

Sounds like a huge waste of a scholarship. This woman will never live long enough for her education to contribute back to society the value of the scholarship.

Heck if she could correct the history prof and they actually listen, then she could actually contribute more then most people that get a bogus degree.

I have a new role model.

Sounds like she'll be correcting her Business professors actually. Think Rodney Dangerfield in "Back to School".

Can one even find a shorthand course anymore?

How socially useful has Lloyd Blankfein's education been?

That was an AWESOME and GREAT story... Until the part where she mentions how she's going to commute to Ann Arbor. My response was "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

I'm totally cool with her changing spark plugs and oil and going back to school, three things I'm not currently doing myself. But I really don't want her driving on the roads, okay? Is that too much to ask?

Bravo, subby!

I tried to ask my grandmother about "the old days" a few times.

When she actually gave me a serious answer, it became pretty apparent that she was a sheltered kid who didn't really know what was going on when it was happening.

Oh well. She was still my grandma. I miss you, Nonny.

My mother got her bachelor's degree over the course of about ten years, and continued to use the same catalog that was in effect when she started. By the time she graduated, I think she might have had the only remaining copy of that course catalog on campus.
