What ever happened to the political power of Republican anger over President Obama's health-care reform?

More than a quarter of the people who oppose the law say they want it to do more.

Which kind of explains why the GOP doesn't want to discuss the issue.

I believe that when people actually found out what was IN Obamacare, they liked it. A lot. Now go back to sucking Roger Ailes cock the way he likes it, you useless little turd of a correspondent.

Yeah, that's the GOP's problem. Lack of rage.

2012-09-28 11:33:12 AM
GOP candidates used anxiety over changes to the nation's health-care system - which they derisively called "Obamacare" - to win big in the 2010 midterm elections. Earlier this year, it was conventional wisdom that Obama could not withstand the political rage against health-care reform in a general election.

This whole article is nonsense. But let me offer a thought on why it's not happening: Hypocrisy

Republicans killed the Clintons' attempt via Kemp and Dole, primarily on the basis that it lacked an individual mandate. The Republican plan, and what Romney did with MA, was born from the conservative Heritage Foundation. And you're running a candidate who established the model that was used by Obama.

But by all means, Juan, please pick at that thread. Democrats will love that.

Good luck with that. Because while it does draw in some folks, look at the folks it's drawing in...

republicans are at maximum outrage all the time, that is their problem. There's no scale left it's just all at 100% no matter if it is about aurgula or spicy mustard or obamacare.

Juan has about a 90 IQ, he's sub standard. Why anyone gives a shiat what he thinks is beyond me.

2012-09-28 12:02:44 PM
SCOTUS upheld it, the majority of Americans see some change as better than what exists, and the conservatives are seen as failing every time they bring it up because it means they haven't done shiat about it for 4 years. Oh and Romneycare makes it specifically difficult for their cheerleader to address.

Juan's right on this.

Romney needs to to quit playing tit for tat with Obama's small ball campaign and get back to big issues like this if he want's to pull this out.

1. Obama's pathetic economic policies that are doing more harm than good.
2. Obama's foreign policy is in flames.
3. Obamacare being the straw that broke the camel's back of a 20th century welfare philosphy leading the largest economy in the history of the world to insolvency.

The media isn't going to cover it, they'd rather talk about new findings on Jimmy Hoffa, or Obama yukking it up on The View......while the the middle east is in flames and china positions itself for a war with Japan, and our GDP being revised down to 1.3%. So MItt's gotta make the issue, which I think he will in the debates.

But this election we're stuck with a great candidate who is a horrible president versus a horrible candidate who would probably make a decent president.

The GOP does not have rage, it has fear. Fear in abundance. Fear of everything. Pants-wetting, curled-in-a-corner, yellow-bellied fear. Anything that looks like rage in a Republican is actually a panic attack.

Apparently he's pissed that the president didn't start two more wars, didn't completely fix the economy after 30 years of shiatty trickle down economics and doesn't like that Obama stole Romney's idea of healthcare.

No, proper form is that you finish up by putting the shotgun barrel in your mouth, being certain to aim back and slightly up rather than just up and then gently squeeze the trigger.

The rage of the Republican Party is already driving voters away. I mean, there are probably quite a few voters who have reservations about President Obama, and would like to hear more about what Romney could do differently. But instead of getting real valid criticisms of President Obama, and alternatives, they hear the Republican party screaming about what a commie socialist Nazi sekrit Muslin usurper Fartbongo 0Bummer is. And then it's easy to ignore them because it's just nonsense.

And this moron wants them to go farther with that? I should send NPR a little extra for bouncing his ass.

Juan Williams didn't say Republicans need more rage.

Juan Williams is basically making the point many people are making in this thread and then yelling at Williams for. That by and large Americans like this act, and that is why Republicans anger has "disappeared". That and because it's basically a huge mill stone around Romney's neck since it was based on his plan.

2012-09-28 01:44:18 PM
In March 2010, just before the law was passed, 37 percent of Americans approved of the ACA, and 48 percent disapproved. Today that gap has narrowed to just four percentage points, with 46 percent disapproving but 42 percent of Americans now approving of the law. More than a quarter of the people who oppose the law say they want it to do more.

So the opposition drops by two points, PLUS the approval goes up 5 points, and you still want to know where the "rage" is? Dude, I've got a secret for you: People are realizing the the Right lied to them all along about this, and they aren't to happy with that knowledge.

For anyone who didn't read TFA, here it is:

More people are supporting the ACA, and I want to know why the Republicans aren't as vocal about fighting it...

F=Face--ask the person to smile. If one side of the face appears crooked or drooping this person may be having a stroke
A=Arms--ask the person to lift both of his or her arms in the air--if he or she has difficulty with one arm this too might be a sign that this person is having a stroke
S=Speech--ask the person to speak. If his or her words are slurred or they are unable to speak, they might be having a stroke
T=T is for time. If any of the above symptoms are present you must call 911 immediately in order to make sure that this person reaches the hospital FAST.
