Staring James May's twin brother, apparently.

I kept waiting for the funny part. It wasn't so much uninteresting as it just needed a better editor. The joke didn't need to last 10 minutes.

Gotta love British humor.

New to me.

A funny, especially considering I skipped ahead.

I made it to 1:14. When does the funny part start?

"you frothy old codpiece!"

especially enjoyed the depth of the colors. most things look like shiat on my CRT but that short was a non-stop Kodak moment.

Nice work...I chuckled. Had a long arsed dream about larpers just last night.

Mildly amusing, Subby old boy. Perhaps next time your submission will take us further, perhaps to a grin, or perchance a LOL.

I passed this along to my friends and family, half of which are (or were) re-enactors. The two soldiers were obviously the most trained with swords of the entire group.

Loved the part where the two guys looked at each other and went "eh.... why not" and started to duel each other.

It's not for everyone. Go back to your NASCAR and don't worry about it.

Grass was mowed in the 19th Century, too. It's not like we just went around sighing about our uncut grass until only a century ago. Yes, this was done by human labour, but this was a time when human labour was scandalously cheap, and anyone with a little bit of money could have just about anything done.

$5 a month doesn't make you witty, old boy. I found it uproariously funny. Perhaps our tastes are different. Perhaps that's okay, and doesn't call for backhanded insults.

Is this meta trolling? You just told someone who didn't find this funny to go back to watching NASCAR.

Yes, it's meta-trolling when someone stands up for someone else. Perhaps there's room on the couch for you, too. NASCAR is hilarious, after all, as I'm sure you know.

I fail to see the connection between not enjoying a stretched-out, predictable, not-all-that-funny joke and my supposed inability to ascertain the humor therein (and subsequent interest in NASCAR?). You're welcome to your assumptions you One Direction karaoke-covering ass-clown ball of puss... but I think you'll find that the majority of assumptions on the internet are superfluous, don't you agree?

Some people are really into playing dressup, others are left cold by it.

Other people like any film as long as it has a woman with big breasts.

This film would be more universally liked if it had a big breasted woman playing dressup.

I'm not actually interested in what you think of it, and that's not my point. My point is that the only real purpose in coming in and saying these would-be-but-not-quite-really-clever things about hating it is just attention whoring, and that's boorish. You're better than that. I hate plenty of things, but I don't need to tell people that, and they're not interested in hearing it.

Meh. I had a week-long fight with DMV. I won, but not easily or cheaply. (And no, it wasn't a DUI or for slapping a cop or anything like that. Just bureaucratic BS.) But that's no excuse, and you're right, I'm being a coont, and I'm sorry. I did have a point to make, but not one worth getting my panties in a twist over.

2012-09-29 01:34:18 AM
That was really funny. The "joke" (which wasn't that funny) was the framework by which the insults and gags were staged. Those various insults and a couple of the moments mentioned above are what make it funny. Favorite insult: "fart catcher".

2012-09-29 01:47:50 AM
Well-shot for an amateur maybe, lots of noticeable awkward cuts and camera angles, (like breaking the 180 degree rule). I'm currently doing some DSLR shorts and I'm not saying I could do better, but I also wouldn't go around proclaiming it was the best shot DSLR film ever either. Also wouldn't write an ending like that that's been done to death. But I thought the acting was really good for an amateur film.

2012-09-29 02:04:40 AM
I have to imagine that sometimes slapping a cop could be a real stress-reliever, but few situations where it would be worth it. Glad to hear the battle is done. Have a good weekend!

I don't think anything I originally said was trying to be clever. The headline said it was "the funniest... best... ever." I watched through to the end and thought it was bland. I didn't "hate" it, I just didn't find it funny and explained my thoughts by giving honest criticism about the video as a whole. There's no other point to a comment thread than discussion: agreeing, disagreeing, developing on ideas... how is that attention whoring?

On the other hand, you enter and insult not only me but people who like NASCAR (which I don't, but that's neither here nor there). And you call me boorish?
