This. What's wrong with saying it's a ten-foot wall of bubbles. That's basically just as impressive and it comes without all the disappointment so typical with overestimating.

/not that I know or anything.
//I admit it's tiny.

this is why you dont put too much detergent in the washing machine!

harmless huh?

too much phosphorus in the water, it will cause an oxygen sucking algae bloom in the water, killing most everything in its path. it's why they took phosporus out of all the dish and laundry soaps and they don't work as well any more.

but y'all are in luck! if you want your laundry and dish soap to work again, just go down the hardware store, get some TSP from the painting section and add a little to the wash!

of course, you are killing the environment, but hey, sparkling whites again!

Oh, the Chinese authorities have said it was safe, so...nothing to worry about.

I never encountered a dishwashing machine until I was 24 and moved into an apartment with my girlfriend. Had to call her and ask what to do.

"There's soap in the cabinet next to the dishwasher. Fill the cup in the door and turn it on."

I dutifully followed instructions and went back to watching TV.

Got up to get a drink and discovered kitchen ass-deep in foam.

The first soap I found was Dawn liquid soap. The powdered stuff was behind it, she told me when she got home.

We could have rivers that look like this here in the US if only a raving commie socialist named Tricky Dick Nixon hadn't created the EPA during the Age of Aquarius.

Officials later claimed that the bubbles had been caused when a non-toxic deodorant was washed out of a household rubbish tip into the river by heavy rainfall.

Deodorant? Rubbish tip?

WTF?

I did the same thing when I was in high school. My mom told me to use the soap in the plastic bottle...so I did. You already know what the results looked like.

When thethe chinese officials say "its no big deal, only one or two fish died" theyre really playing with language. You see fish is plural for fish. So one or two fish really means species. This caused the extinction of half that river.

But they don't care, those fish were probably toxic to eat anyway.

Officials later claimed that the bubbles had been caused when a non-toxic deodorant was washed out of a household rubbish tip into the river by heavy rainfall.

A spokesman said: "People are right to be cautious but it is harmless. It made very large bubbles when it went over a waterfall but apart from one or two dead fish, it is harmless."
