Obama really is the luckiest man alive.

That would explain why Limbaugh just spent 20 minutes blasting Nate Silver.

That's ...unfortunate. Given how Rushbo's "Sandra Fluke" comments sprouted legs, I predict that we'll see a rash of conservative statisticalisticians popping up to oppose Nate Silver and the incontrovertible liberal bias of his sidekick, Math.

Obama's campaign is focused around making you not want to vote for Romney, but then again not giving you a reason to actually vote for him. Romney is simply a terrible Republican candidate. There is no realistic 3rd option. This country is basically going to elect one piece of shiat versus the other, and will base their decision purely on which doesn't smell as bad.

I encourage everyone to support alternate candidates this election year, don't throw away your vote because it's popular.

I'd like to see a split-screen ad where, on the left, Mitt from 2006-present takes one position (with the year at the bottom of the screen), then, when he's done, it freezes and the right side 2010-present Mitt (again with the year clearly posted) says something completely opposite. At NO TIME in history, has an election caused a Marxist regime to leave power. At NO TIME in history, has an election under a Marxist regime ever been 'won' by the challenger.

Lunaville: Yes, I agree. We absolutely should take this election for granted. In fact, those individuals who support Obama need not exert themselves to vote unless the weather is ideal because he is such a shoo-in, why worry?

Kittypie, your comment was completely unreasonable. Caution is for kitties.

Once again, my labeling proves accurate as well as prescient, conservative concern troll.

I think even our local GOP shills have started admitting to that fact.

I am seeing a noticeable lack of troll yellow in these threads. Maybe they gave up?

it's weird, isn't it? our usual shills seem to have suddenly evaporated. I can't tell if they've given up or if they're recharging their batteries and massing for an attack.

andrewskdr: This is a very bad election year.

Did you know some of these poors only make a quarter million in an entire year? I don't see why they don't just get off their lazy asses, borrow some money from their parents, and start a business.

Huh. I thought that this was surely a parody, like hillaryis44.com.

Nope, they are like ostriches sticking their heads in the sand.

It's like Conservapedia meets 538 in some horrible twisted orgy.

Jesus. I didn't look at it closely before. I went to one of their articles to try to see what they thought the skew factor was and how they addressed it. All the links in the article just jump back to the front page.

It's a steaming pile of "Because we said so. Shut up!"

It's gonna be the borderlands 2 of elections. Technically the plot is serious, but it's going to be hard to see it due to all the falling off your chair laughing.

I hate these deceptive attack adds. They take romney's words totally out of context. Totally unfair.

(The context being that he is saying them in secret to a bunch of rich people, not where the voters might hear him.)

These guys are assholes.

If you go to that site and click on the NY Times / CBS News link (which laughably has Romney at +7), it links to the EXAMINER.

Bonus: The Examiner says that Obama is winning.

Willful ignorance at it's finest.

I think they are adjusting it so that there is no registration advantage for the Democrats. In their minds, if a poller calls 1000 people, and gets 700 people that identify as democrats and 300 that identify as Republicans.. well, that's just wrong and can't be. It's only because those lazy democrats are unemployed and at home to answer the phone.

So they even it out, probably just by dropping D answers to what they think the appropriate ratio is, and completely throwing out all historical polling data trends.

Of course, they don't say how they are doing this, so I think that it's just pulling numbers out of their ass.

I've only seen it ramping up more. Charts distoring tax rates, cherry-picked lists of companies Bain "helped" compared to bankrupt Obama crony solar companies," Obama apologizes to terrorists, etc. etc. etc.

Same with the FW FW FW: emails. Last night the one from my mom claimed that in a radio intereview in September 2008, Obama admitted that he and Michelle burned US flags because they were worldwide symbols of oppression.

I know several other Texans in the same boat.

Texans. Voting straight Democrat. I know that the popular vote means less than bugger all, but it's still mind-boggling.

/Not Texan, but this year was the first time I've voted straight-ticket.
//Democrat, of course.

I only want Texas to be up in the air at least 2 hours after the polls close...just to make the GOP sweat profusely.

The new republican strategy of trashing the polls is really bizarre. Do they really believe that if they can somehow convince people that the polls aren't true, that the polls will actually lose their validity? Or is it all a desperate attempt to keep the fund raising spigot open a little longer by convincing gullible conservatives that Romney still has a chance?
