What did I do to deserve this public ridicule?

A) You were a scab
B) Not just a scab, but an incompetent scab

IAmRight: the correction is buried in a box on page D6 in 8 point Agate.

Normal newsprint is 8-10 point. Agate refers to 5.5.

/At least where I'm from. Maybe it's different outside of the newspaper industry.

The Muthaship: Please don't kid yourself by thinking that guys exactly like this won't be on the field for tonight's game and the remainder of the season.

Please don't kind yourself by thinking people actually believe the real refs are perfect.

But also, don't be a dumbass and think that the replacement refs are anywhere near the level of the professional refs. The real ones required 10+ years of experience, 5 being in major college football. One of the refs involved in the Fail Mary play on Monday had 4 years total. Another one was fired by the Lingerie league for incomptency.

Will the professional refs screw up? Sure, but not nearly as much as the replacements. Said this in another thread, there were 20 challenge flags thrown in week 2, 16 were reversed. They were wrong 80% of the time, and that's just when flags could be thrown. You were lucky if you saw 1-2 challenges reversed in a single week in 2011.

What a whiny tool. Bet he pisses and moans about stubbing a toe all day. Dude has no business on a Pop Warner field, much less college or the pro's.

Well, since apparently he only got to referee the Dallas/Giants game, which wasn't particularly poorly reffed, I don't think we can say B) is for certain.

Unwanted attention bothers him, so he does a public interview about it?  Huh.
