(Chicago Trib)   Colorado's "Frozen Dead Guy" festival to go on with or without frozen dead guy's corpse present, though they would prefer to have Frostilicus there in all his glory   (chicagotribune.com) divider line 22

It's not a very serious festival in an awesome off-beat little mountain town. We go almost every year for laughs.

It's a bit of a Colorado tradition for many.

Wow Nederland makes Chicago news.

Ned's an interesting town. Mountain folks and hippies combined. When I moved to CO I thought it was really odd festival to have. Then I drove over to Ned... realized it was pretty normal for that area.

Truly one of the more interesting towns on the planet.. I believe no matter where you are from in the world you can drive up to Nederland right now and walk into the shop and buy your weed. If you want to see good jazz within 2 layers of states from Colorado you can find it in Nederland. (well, at one time you could every week, been a while since I've moved away).

But if you want to find some single ladies.. well, I don't think you want to spend much time in Nederland.

And if you don't like 90 mph winds in middle of winter when it is -10F, don't go the dead guy festival.
