I made it through about 5 seconds of that.
Then I became afraid that Sally Struthers might be coming up.

Would anybody know how Hitler feels about the replacement refs?
Can't find anything.

Fans shouldn't be too hard on the scabs. By all accounts (I never actually saw a game) they did a horrible job, but it was through their efforts that the NFL refs are able to get back to work. Had the scabs been halfway competent, it could have dragged on all season, not being quite bad enough to fix.

Blame the NFL for being cheap bastards and having it blow up in their faces.

Whatever. Don't ask for whom the empty wallet tolls, it tolls for Jerry Jones.

You people are monsters.

How did I know this would be set to "I Will Remember You" before even clicking it?

The only one I remember is the black guy that worked the Minn/Jax game the first week. That dude was a beast. There was a flare up over something and he was just throwing players out of the way.

2012-09-27 08:24:49 AM
Yay, that means Santonio Holmes can't be his own ref anymore.

Patriots: 1-2
Steelers: 1-2
Packers: 1-2
Peyton Mannings: 1-2
Cam Newtons: 1-2

3-0 teams: Arizona, Atlanta, Houston.

Yeah, no wonder they had to get their old refs back.

On the radio last night there was a mention that last weekend was the first time that Peyton Manning, Brady and Brees all lost on the same weekend.

There's the REAL reason for the ref situation getting resolved.

Man, now these poor bastards have to go back and take shiat from a bunch of division III college punks? That's gotta suck.

Look, I get that we're all happy about the regular refs coming back, but there is absolutely no excuse for greening a garbage "video" like that one.

I'm thinking those replacement refs made a killing (by proxy) off these games....

Yeah, I mean they couldn't even include clips of "penalty - red", "St. Louie", or the 27 yard personal foul?

Farkers broke my Sarcastimeter: Are we claiming the the league needed the refs back because the wrong teams were winning or because the "wrong" teams were winning?

Actually most of the scabs are done officiating football at ANY level...except maybe Pop Warner - the scuttlebutt in the officiating world is that they will be blackballed at the college and hs levels...hope they had fun!

Seeing as how they worked in place of the NFLRA since they were locked out, even if they become competent enough there's no way the union would let them in.

/not too sure about college ranks though
//are they unionized?
///slashies must be tripled!!!11!!!

Um - a lot of the D1 conferences now have as their Officiating Supervisors......current NFL referees - Carey, Parry, an a couple of others. This is partially why the NFL had to resort to NAIA and failed Arena/Lingerie League officials. And there are quite few NFL officials whose kids are now working college ball at high levels - Hochuli's kid should be an NFL official very very soon, for example.

Good thing we won't be hearing anyone complain about the refs anymore! The official refs are infallible. No one has ever questioned their decisions before. The replacements weren't just a convenient excuse to complain because your team played terribly.

The announcers last night did a great job of showing out HARD for the regular refs, even trying to explain that a shoulder to chest hit that there was no helmet contact on was a helmet-to-helmet hit, and trying to tell the player "you just can't do that."

If a replacement ref had made that same call, they would have sh*t all over it.
