I like that this is the best headline which a Michigan fan can come up with after losing to Notre Dame.

Generation_D: So what the actual hell is going on here, why is Notre Dame hooking up with the ACC and not the Big Ten?

It will accelerate Notre Dame's decline into irrelevancy. Who cares?

I don't get it from Notre Dame's point of view at all, their specialness as a unique midwest school evaporates the minute they go play ACC teams and quit playing teams like Michigan.

Because the Big Ten fought to keep them out once and this is their revenge.

More than once, if memory serves. They did it for a while, back before they picked up the deals they have now. To me... when you have standing rivalries with at least four of the teams, and have played almost a third of your all-time schedule against teams currently in the conference, it's kind of a biatch move to not join them at this point, especially to spurn them for a conference they barely have a passing interest in in the long run.
