Mercutio74: I wonder if Romney's thought about rebooting his campaign...
Ivo Shandor: Polls say that Romney has a 50/50 chance of winning, though there's only a 10 percent chance of that.
funk_soul_bubby: By Chuck ToddNo thanks. All ideologies aside, that guy is a major doucher.
odinsposse: Mercutio74: I wonder if Romney's thought about rebooting his campaign...Romney is going to go the debates and tell stories about how he grew up as a poor black child.

Monkeyhouse Zendo: The debates are going to be so sweet. I wonder if Romney will break out in flopsweat or if the fact that he's richer than Croesus will cushion the blow.
Whiskey Pete: At this point I think Romney will even vote for Obama.
Lost Thought 00: I hope Romney gets so exasperated that he just starts asking crowds "What do you want from me? I'll be anything you want me to be" or tries to explain away his past comments by saying "Look, I was just saying those things to try and get people to vote for me"
HotWingConspiracy: [wonkette.com image 234x300]Looks like I picked the wrong presidential campaign to stop sniffing glue.
Oldiron_79: Considering that the '00, '04, and '08 polls weren't very accurate
Devo: I think Obama employees a prevent defense in the debates. The last thing he wants to do is string 3 sentences together that when one is dropped sounds like "they didn't build that". I don't think the debates are giong to be the slaughter that some hope for. I could be wrong. Mitt is desperate.
HighOnCraic: Targeting the Working PoorSeptember 05, 1995Gerald Ford put it into law. Ronald Reagan extolled it as "the best anti-poverty, the best pro-family, the best job-creation measure to come out of Congress." George Bush expanded the program still more. Called the Earned Income Tax Credit, it fulfills Republican objectives in rewarding work, drawing people off welfare and raising up the working poor above the poverty level without increasing minimum wages. So why are some of the gung-ho conservatives on Capitol Hill intent on slashing away at a popular, bipartisan federal initiative that helps 14 million low-income Americans make ends meet? Why are they raiding a program that rewards work at the same time they are out to reform welfare by making recipients work?Link
Jubeebee: IIRC, at this point in 2008, the McCain campaign wasn't looking this dire. Everyone was all atizzy over Palin and the campaign suspension, but weren't the polls much closer than this?
Oldiron_79: No they wasn't, well maybe '04 kinda of, but '08 was supposed to be a nail biter, not an Obama Landslide,
Oldiron_79: No they wasn't, well maybe '04 kinda of, but '08 was supposed to be a nail biter, not an Obama Landslide, '00 was supposed to be a Gore landslide, not a nail biter that Bush Squeaked out, and '04 was supposed to be a nail biter that Kerry Would squeak out.
Jackpot777: NateGrey: Looking Good.[www.rove.com image 694x519]If he loses NC, I shall laugh and laugh and you get the idea.
EighthDay: No.LinkThe media made it out to be a horse race, but the polls were pretty consistent by late September for an Obama win.
