Please don't fix that glitch! that's awesome...I want to get the game now so I can bridge-check someone into the stands!

Great glitch, but this video is much better if you watch it on mute

I have 12 but would buy 13 if they promised not to fix it so I can do that to Crosby every time I played against the Pens.

The "greatest glitch in the history of gaming?" Only if you're a meathead who exclusively buys sports titles.

Annnnnnnd Crosby's out for another season.

That is quite a glitch - Sidney Crosby actually being on the ice? And got checked without immediately turning to the ref?

Yanks_RSJ: That is quite a glitch - Sidney Crosby actually being on the ice? And got checked without immediately turning to the ref?

I think he turned toward the ref, and the stands, and the bench, and the ceiling...

Does the game not load until the lockout is over?

I thought the glitch in the game was that hockey would get played.

The other glitch is Barry Trotz apparently having a full head of hair.

Looks like the game engine forgot to turn off player collisions for skaters coming off the bench. It looks like Crosby was checked low by defender #1, and the game engine had him going into the air...then defenders #2 and #3 coming off the bench checked him mid-air, throwing him into row M of the stands.

It's a good glitch though...better than the one in Sensible Soccer where you could score by hitting the underside of the crossbar, and definitely better than the one in Baseball Mogul where in historical mode certain pitchers turned into strikeout kings (one guy had 600 K's in 1917).

I always enjoyed the glitch in NHLPA '93 in which you could skate directly up the middle of the ice, and if you hit the pass button with nobody in front of you it would go right between the goalie's legs, regardless of how far away you were.

It looked like a clip from NHL Hitz 2002, one of the best hockey games of all time.

My friends and I would have some absolutely epic 3 on 3 games, scores like 19 to 18 and giant flaming shark-headed Mike Modanos throwing each other through the glass.

Those NHL Hitz games were great. Hours upon hours were wasted playing that.

ManateeGag: they guy is a little annoying, but that f'n hilarious!

Yah, I used to be subbed to him. Some great content but the guy gets really annoying really fast. Then he started doing shootout videos where 90% of the time when he was goalie, it would just do a flying-pokecheck (In NHL12 the move would knock the puck off the guys stick 95% of the time because of how fast the animation was, no time for the shooter to react.) I lost all respect for him after that.

Why stop at the stands. Sports games should include the entire city, GTA style. You could chase Crosby's car from the hotel and stop him from getting to the arena. Or you could play as a Devils fan trying to survive in the stands at MSG. A successful streak onto the ice gives you an extra life.

I wonder what happens when you get Kronwalled? It probably sends you out of the arena.

I remember that. I also remember how you could start a fight before any faceoff just by checking the computer guy a couple of times.

Out of the arena and into low Earth orbit.

That does remind me of that shooter glitch lately. I don't recall which game it was, but if somebody was talking when they were killed, their mouths would keep moving after they died. So you had dozens of soundless gaping corpses mouthing eternally.

Blades of Steel for NES was my favorite game growing up. Only in a Japanese game you would be sent into the penalty box for losing the fight.

In NHL Hitz 2002, if you lost the fight, you were out for the entire period.

When you made custom teams, you had to assign a limited pool of stat points to all 5 players on your team and the goalie. You could really stack one guy and the goalie (which you always did because if you didn't you'd give up 30 goals) and just have a below-average rest of the team... but man if you put all the points in that one guy and he lost a fight you were SO farked.

This is awesome. So was the old Madden ('98 or so) glitch where you could calmly walk your D-Lineman behind the opposing QB before the snap and dive in to the back of his knees. Rinse and repeat until the QB goes down with injury.

/Or the ambulance that would drive onto the field, running over and injuring other players

There was a glitch in Madden 07, I think. On Special Teams during punts you could move one of your players off the line and then just stand off to the side, unblocked. Every snap you could just run unblocked right into the punter's knees and block the punt.

One of the NCAA basketball games(circa 01/02 I think) had a glitch where if you ran straight down center, stopped just short of the foul line and did a pull up jumper you'd score every time. You could rack up 100 points in the first half alone just doing that.

There was a similar bug in the game Looney Tunes Basketball. Wile E. Coyote has a 3-point shot where he attaches a rocket to the ball and it travels to the backboard, explodes, and the ball falls in. If you play as him, no matter where you are on the court you can fire up that shot and it goes in every time.

I can't remember if it was pre or post Space Jam. If it was post space-jam they missed an epic game opportunity.

Yes, but could the goalies turn into brick walls, or could you set the nets on fire?

NHL 2013 has women hockey players.

I'm waiting for the FARKer who will hack into it so that, when they fight, their uniforms fall off and the ice turns into jello.

Not as bad as this glitch, which was in the demo and ended up cancelling the game's release on xbox and ps3

I actually felt MLH was the inferior of the 2. MLF definitely had more meat to it. MLH felt unfinished.

Still no excuse for not having a sequel yet.

Entertaining, but I never felt challenged by the Mutant League games. Every game was like 60-6 in football and 5-1 for hockey.

Still remember Desfarten on the Cadavers (Desjardins, Canadiens).

BTW, I tried the NHL 13 demo on Xbox. Put on NHL94 controls. Responsive? Hell no. Pissed me off.

I love nhl13, great game.

You know what game I loved as a kid? I think they were called street sports, and it was teams of kids playing in backyard lots. I think it was football and basketball they played, and it was back on the Commodore 64/128.

When it was too cold to actually play outside, they were great fun.

I actually hate basketball, but I think I'm going to pick up 2 k 13, it looks that good.
